I use my Tundra for offroad desert rallying and took a very high jump and upon landing it crushed the undershield which in turn crushed the oil filter housingand consequently screw*d the engine!

So I am in the market for a new one. I have looked around but have not been able to find out if some engine builder builds the engine to higher performance specs like offroad racing and the like.

Please let me know if anyone here knows of one or can point me in the right direction.

    Thanks!

How high was high? Just curious. There are Tundra engines for sale on ebay (among other places) but I am guessing that you are looking for a 5.7. It ain't cheap.

Yes I am aware. Stock engine is not a problem that has already been sourced locally but I am leaning towards a modified robust one.

I don't know of any engine builders, but there has yo be a fix. I'm not sure what caused your damage, I know it was from landing but was it all internal or did something external cause it?

It sounds like the skid plate failed. Maybe a custom beefy full coverage skid plate would prevent that from happening again?

We were doing about 130 km/h when we landed, the oil leaked and we were still going until the engine made noises.

Yes it was a skid plate failure it was a custom one but not a beefy one!

Not sure if the general public can get them, but most of the Toyotas in the short course circuit (Lucas Off Road Series etc) run engines sourced through or built by TRD)...at least that is what all of the anouncers say...Usually they will list Rousch etc, but for all the Toys they say TRD as the engine builder, so you might look into that (and hit up a bank or two as it will be really pricey!).
