After 10 years of daily driving a Honda Civic, hopping into our Xterra always made me feel all jacked up. I went out to move the car seats around in the Xterra this morning, and even though it's been only about a week or so, damn that X seem tiny now! It's funny how quickly you get used to "the new normal"...

Oh yeah! 97 Silverado and 98 s10 before my tundra. First week or so felt like I was driving a semi! Now whenever I drive my wife's accord, I feel like I'm in a gocart!!

Anyone's wife have a car with sensitive brakes? Every time I drive her car I snap everyone's neck at the first stop sign.

You would think you'd adjust after the first stop sign. But it always takes atleast 2 stops to remember. I do it every single time, my wife and kids think I do it on purpose.

Oh man, doc ALWAYS looks at me with the crazy eye whenever I do that however unintentional!!
Driving my wife's car, You get a tiny spasm in your big toe and it's all locked brakes, tires skidding and whiplash for ALL passengers!!

So frustrating for the next few stops....not to mention after you get off the interstate you forget about it...and the cycle starts alllll over again!

Don't forget accelerating too. I get their heads to snap back when I push on the accelerator.
And now driving into work with my new DD, I'm so low to the ground I can spot pennies on the road as I drive past 'em.

Miss my civic SI :( But I moved to a Taco from there so I had a chance to get "acclimated' to higher altitude before I moved into the the Tundy.

    No sir!!

Anytime I get some flack from the doc I always say "woman, when you spend 99% of your time driving and braking a 1/2 ton truck around then you can say whatever you want, until then let me get adjusted to these PC brakes!!

    Doesn't stop the looks though...
I'm used to those looks so I've gotten good at zoning them out! I'm sure you can relate LOL!!

LOL. All the fucking time! Every morning when I'm driving to the train station and I see people walking to it about 5 blocks away. I always think, if I had my truck I would offer a ride to the cute girls, but way too embarrassed in my beater.

Yep. I drive thru one of the nice neighborhoods in Denver on my way to work, and all of these Benz, Beamer and Lexus people must look at me like I work on their house. If they only knew. That is why I need to find a license plate frame that reads "My other car is a Toyota Tundra" Or "My other car is a trail whale".

I came from a Double cab long bed Tacoma. It didn't feel like I was driving that much bigger of a vehicle, but my wife is further a way from me so when she tries to back hand me for making a smart ass comment, it's a longer reach now. The first time I really realized how much bigger it is than my Tacoma is the first time I washed and waxed it.

I just put the stock shoes from my Tundra on the Xterra, that helps a little bit I guess, still seems so small though.

I had to wait a couple days to take my new truck home, they gave me a brand new Altima as a loaner while I waited. There were definitely some whiplash moments when I first took off in that thing.

My wife has a 2016 Toyota Yaris SE... it has extremely good brakes... and a very short turning radius... and is rather close to the ground.... I like driving her go-cart as she reminds me that "It is not a go-cart so stop driving it like one".

I try really hard to give her the 'innocent look' after I have taken a 90* corner at as close to 50kph (30mph) as her go-cart can manage (i don't actually know how fast, she gets a bit miffed when I ask her to check for me). And yeah... her tires don't like that much either.

Yup, you can bet I was checking just how well that Altima stuck to the road when I had her. Fun little car for the $ I think, pretty tight too.
