So I'm trying to fit my full-size spare - 295/70/r18 Nitto Ridge Grappler and I'm concerned about the clearance from the hot exhaust.

There are few people who put 35s under there. Have to cut the tabs or bend them, they're in the spare tire location

Looking at your photos if you cut off or bend those tabs that come down to guide the oe tire up you can maneuver the larger tire away from the exhaust

That's what I'm thinking. I just didn't know if I'd be ok for a little while with the clearance I have now.

    Thanks

Depends on how long a little while is. Haha. When I say that sometimes it's 3 weeks down the road and I'm still getting around to doing it. I would think you'd be ok for a week but I wouldn't put it off to long.

I cut the heads off the rivets for the tire locating tabs then knocked them removed them, and my 35" fit fine.

What did you use to cut the rivets?
