    Is this actually a thing with our trucks? I know with the Tacoma trucks, this was almost a necessity.

    It for sure is an issue on 2nd gen Tundras from my own personal experience - I suspect it will eventually be a thing on my 3rd gen since it's still a needle bearing.

    Yep. I didn't really have any isolated issue with mine but I replaced it bc I destroyed a CV axle and was "in there" anyway. You can see the size difference in the second pic and the tolerance on the oem needle bearing is a joke.
