TRD CAI Question- Gap In CAI Housing

Fellow Tundra Owners:

Is there supposed to be a small gap between the top cover and base of the TRD CAI? I have attached a picture to show what I am talking about. As you can see, there is a small red portion of of the TRD filter showing.

Any help would be great.

Thanks! I just wanted to confirm before washing the engine bay- I don’t really want water in my air intake. That would make for a sad face day.
