Wow, at first I thought your were joking about huffing AC. Hard to believe.

If they drain the system completely and it's r22 it's an easy $500 call on a residential unit. Don't have the huffing issues here but lots of copper thefts I've seen them cut data room Ac refrigerant lines in downtown Charleston. they never stick around once they cut them, the massive cloud of refrigerant usually scares them off. Although I did get a no cool call at a church once. Got there go to look at units and someone blew the gas disassembled the units cut coils and copper out of them then put the cases back together so they looked like normal.

 

Data room unit repairs were over 5k. To repair and recharge.

 

Akin to the old days of coming out to your car and finding it at the curb stripped down and sitting on cinder blocks.

 

I haven't run into any for sure cases of huffing here in Denver personally, but heard plenty of stories. Worked for a guy that got a call from the police at 2:00 am about one of his guys at the park in the back of the company van, blue in the face, pants down, wacking his junk! Guess it's sort of like the weirdos that get off on choking. It doesn't get you high, just starves your brain of oxygen. WTF is wrong with people?

 

I know huh? Why couldn't he just wack his junk at home like a normal person.

He wasn't just whacking his junk... he was whacking his junk while huffing on whatever was in the van.

 

It was probably something like nitrous oxide or something in the van. And it was free.

 

Guess he just couldn't wait.

 

It was R22 refrigerant. Who knows why the heck he was doing it in the van. Didn't get those details. Lives with mom? Wife? Maybe it was the added thrill of getting caught. There's some strange people on this planet!

I worked in the loading house for a little while and they do not give two shits about being easy on packages. If we couldn't reach them at the top of the stack they would grab the wall of boxes and just avalanche the whole thing to the floor. The way ours worked, when loading trucks, if you missed a package and someone down the line saw it, instead of walking it to you, they just threw the thing across the warehouse. If it breaks it's on the shipper to replace it. It was insane in there.
