I know there have been a number of remote starter threads recently... I chimed in on a few saying that my 2020 1794 did NOT come with the remote starter from the factory.

    I was wrong!

I tried the lock-lock-lock(hold) many, many times, and it never worked.

I tried it again today and -again- failed several times. Then I tried lock-lock-lock-lock(hold). This time, the amber parking lamps in the headlights started to flash, and after a few moments, the truck started. I shut it with the unlock button and repeated the performance.

Then I tried the lock-lock-lock(hold) again. and again. and again. nope!

so I tried lock-lock-lock-lock(hold) again. it started!

So I stood there scratching my head and wondering why my truck would be different than most other folks, and just couldn't come up with a reason. I started to wonder if I was pressing too fast and doing 4 presses instead of 3 was somehow more "deliberate"?

So I tried 3 again. Slowly
    Press and release
    1 Mississippi
    Press and release
    2 Mississippi
    Press and hold.

    Blinking lights & ignition!!!

So if your 2020 doesn't seem to have come through with remote start, keep trying. Try 4 presses, and/or 3 real deliberate ones. Hold the last one and watch your headlights. If the amber lights start to flash, keep holding. The whole process is much slower than I expected, and all my previous failures were probably due to either pressing too fast, or giving up on the "hold" too quickly.

someone oughta make a youtube of this! :D
