I have the Morimoto XB headlights.
I also added the leveling switch from eBay. Really easy install and works great. The switch light is blue though and all my other switches are red. I put the switch to the left of the steering wheel so it’s hidden and I don’t notice it.

Cool, good to know! I should order the same Laminex covers too, then I'll know they fit, although I have a feeling the others would probably fit too. But, why take a chance if I know the T018CL fits the Morimotos.

Nice to hear someone else had success with the eBay switch to make the headlight leveling motors work. At first I kind of wanted the switch to match the color of all the others, but then I thought it might be good if it's blue, easier to find at night because it will stand out from the other switches. Somewhere online I saw a picture of it installed, and it looked ok, those lights aren't all that bright anyways. If it really bothers me, there's probably a way to change the LED inside the switch to make it match the color of the other switches, but I don't think it's worth effort, as long as it lights up at about the same intensity as the other switches, that's fine.

I ordered the film for my year (2010) and they fit fine on my Morimoto headlights.

Maybe the difference between the headlights really is just internal, in which case I don't know why Laminex is making it difficult for people by separating it into 2007-09 an 2010-13. So now we've received confirmation that both versions of their headlight cover product (2007-09 and 2010-13) fit the Morimoto headlights just fine, which only comes in one version (2007-13).:frusty: I guess it doesn't matter which version of Laminex covers people buy for Morimoto headlights. If there is a difference, it's probably so minor that it won't matter.

Thanks to both of you for responding! (and so quickly)! I feel more comfortable ordering the Laminex headlight covers for my Morimoto headlights now.

I got my covers, now I just need to install them. I need to figure out if I want to do it on or off the truck.

You definitely want to do it on the truck. It will be very difficult to get the film on without having a firm grip on the headlight. The truck will provide plenty of support for you. ;)

Sounds good. I would assume start by aligning it on the end towards the grill and work outward towards the parking light?

I lined up the top and grille side edge then worked from there. I used a heat gun but the rounded edge is still difficult. Take your time to get the wrinkles out.

For the headlights, it might be better to install the protective film once they new headlights are installed on the truck (better support once they're installed rather than loose). But for the fog lights, I head it's easier to install the protective film if they are loose - possibly because they are a bit recessed in the bumper and lower to the ground. Not impossible, just more awkward. I ordered the XB fog lights too, debating whether I want to put yellow or clear film on them. Yellow is not just for looks, I've found on a previous vehicle it is actually better in fog and snow, though sometimes, I found the regular white fog lights were better. Too bad the XB fog lights don't have that feature where you can turn them on and off to switch between yellow and white. Since my truck is mostly blacked out, I kind of like the look of the XB fog lights as they are, kind of dark tinted. Decisions, decisions...

The Lamin-X covers are pure shit. I couldn't get the corners to not wrinkle using a heat gun. I ripped it off, threw it away, and ripped the other one in half before even peeling it off the sheet. Destroyed the heat gun too.

I installed these a few months ago in my 2013, no problems with the install and fitment is great. They perform very well.

BUT, after only a month my driver's side light showed heavy condensation/moisture. Passenger side seemed fine. Headlight Revolution agreed to replace the light under warranty. I installed the replacement last week and so far so good.

HOWEVER, just yesterday I noticed the passenger side assembly was doing the same! :frusty: So I need to call HR AGAIN for a replacement.

Needless to say a BIG disappointment coming from Morimoto esp considering how expensive these lights are. I hope they get this QC issue resolved.

Dang! Yeah that would be super frustrating with any product, but especially something at this price point. I havent' heard of anyone else having this issue, so hopefully it was an isolated incident, or restricted to a low run of headlights that has since been corrected. I got my headlights, but am waiting on the switch and wiring for the headlight leveling motors so they're not installed yet. Hope mine don't have condensation issues or I'll probably get a refund and buy OE Sequoia headlights.
