Fuel pump recall fix?

Took my 2019 in for the 10,000 mile service and they said the fuel pump recall fix is in the system now. They are going to do an inspection, not sure what that entails, and order the parts. Anyone else hear of a fix?

 

Had mine fixed today. Dropped it off at 8am and it was done by 2pm.

 

I didn’t know the fix was ready. I’ve got the recall notice but hadn’t seen the one that the fix is ready

 

Give your service dealer a call. I was told they had the fix and they replaced mine no problem. I guess it was announced last weekend.

 

Do you know what years it is for?

 

I'm still waiting for them to call me back saying they have the parts. Lol, they said to not come in with a full tank.

I had a full tank of gas yesterday when I had mine swapped out and they didn’t say anything about it.

 

I just called Toyota asking about this. I didn't know about it. But apparently mine is fine. I'm not affected by it.

 

Interesting, I assumed all 2019 models were affected.

 

Do you have the 26 or 38 gal tank?

 

I have the 38 gallon tank. Still waiting took hear about the parts.

 

Interesting, I have the same tank. The only real difference is I don't have the TRD.

 

The recall was sent out in January, two weeks after my 18FlexFuel went out. Didn't get fixed until April.

 

Mother in-law in Texas was stranded on the road in her 2018 or 2019 Highlander today. Sounds like the fuel pump went out to me.

I promptly checked my dealer and they said the fix was ready for my truck. Going in Monday for a new fuel pump.

I haven’t received the letter saying the fix is available yet.

 

Just called, 2019 38 gallon tank, going in next Thursday. Told me to have as little fuel as possible.

 

Mine is a 2019 as well and it has a 38g tank. Searching by the VIN it shows I am not affected.

 

I just did some research on my VIN and the fuel pump recall was done right before I bought it. So explains why the dealer said I was okay.

 

I ran my VIN too and send i don't need the fix. I do get a weird studder just cruising like a deadspot or gear change. Only does it do often under light pedal pressure.
