I completely understand. I got impatient too so that's why I had them cancel the order.
I heard that OVT might have cracked the code but I haven't really looked into it too much. I look forward to hearing updates once other companies start breaking through and creating more options.

Oh, I was just wondering what direction you ended up going on your suspension. I thought you were looking into Fox or Kings. I am looking to improve the ride with my Platinum--something that will absorb crappy roads better like a TRD Pro. I want to level the front (about 1" lift up front) I don't want to lift the truck much (if at all) I've been looking into Kings, Fox and was recently steered towards OME BP51 from ARB. I really don't want to get into changing a lot of the suspension geometry (that's why not much of a lift--no UCA etc)

I was looking into Fox and King suspension systems but, with Covid, our family business went from making a decent living to making just enough to pay bills to 'none of our tenants are paying income... our reserve cash is dwindling very quickly'. Thus the decision to cancel the supercharger for the time being.
OME lifts are good but I like the rebuild capability of the Kings; and, I think, Fox.

Alright! I finally had a chance to do something on the truck again.

@TundraTex released his new 2020 FRAC harness so I took my wifes advice and am giving housework a rest. The FRAC hardness is easy to install and was easy to use.
I got the camera mounted by creating a 1" aluminum bracket held in place by 1" 3M VHB tape. Camera mounting hole was 5/16". I ran the wires along side the TSS cables.

I love to over design things and prefer to make things reversible. When I came across the 3 wires that designate orientation and lines for the Natika camera, I had to improvise. I am fashioning a small switch box using a universal PCB board and 3-position Dip switch that will sit inside of a waterproof box. The box that I used was made for holding SD cards but hasn't come in yet so I couldn't finish it but the functionality is working. I know it is fairly unnecessary but it does allow me to change the orientation of the camera (lines/no lines; straight/mirrored; right-side-up/rotated) in the event that I change the grill, mounting position or line preference.

    20200629_163734.jpg
I love the look of metal LED switches so I decided to switch those out in place of the rocker switches supplied in the FRAC kit. This is a 19mm on/off/on. The 16mm VIM latching switch and harnesses are also in the mail. It should be easy to crimp the spade connectors and plug right into the FRAC.

I also scrapped the idea of lifting the truck for the time being and decided to pick up some ARH catted long tube headers and am in discussions with Taco Tunes for a modified 1B setup.

I'm happy with the way the camera/switches turned out and functions!
I was able to pull the 12v directly from the selector line so I added diodes so they didn't interfere with each other.

The fit was excellent. The quality was excellent.
    The install was a PITA!
    The sound is very different!

I already had Dirty Deeds TRD replacement and TRD dual tips. There was a decent growl but it wasn't quite as loud as I had hoped. I wanted a little more throaty growl so I ordered the headers.
At idle there is little change - a little more tone - but, when you stomp on the gas, it sounds like a modified muscle car... LOUD!
I've already installed sound deadening so its still relatively quiet inside but you can really hear it with the windows down.
I'm just getting antsy because I can't get the supercharger yet.

I order a USB microphone to get a decent quality sound clip of the exhaust.

On a side note, does anyone have advice on the - somewhat expected - P0420/P0430 codes? I did choose to have cats on the headers but they are very high flow and I'm getting the bank 1 and bank 2 codes.
I ordered the URD O2 sensor simulators but it only guarantees use for a 2007-2012. I'm hoping that that will solve my issue.

Nice work on the truck so far and congrats on the new baby!
These long tubes are on my short list as well. I also have the DD TRD replacement system. What length mufflers did you go with for your system? I have 18" and have been wondering just how loud it will be with these installed.

    Thank you and thank you.
I have the 17" muffler sections with the separated resonators. I just picked up a DirtyDeeds TRD replacement with 24" muffler and built in resonators for a decent deal on CL just to try out.

Here is a sound clip that I attempted to record but it got pretty muddled when it got loud. I will try to get a better sound clip and dash video soon. Hopefully the video isn't too loud.

Thank you for the sound clip. Sounds good from what you can hear! Loud, but good. My system has the built in resonators like the ones you just picked up. Very interested to find out how it sounds with the larger mufflers. Following along!

Thanks for checking in but no, I haven't had a chance. I wanted to get a really good sound clip before removing the 17" section. I'm using my wife's laptop to collect the audio and she has been working a lot. The only chance that I've had to use it was when I had the children.
I'm hoping to get audio Sat or Sun.

I did get all of the audio clips that I needed to make a sample tone video but I haven't swapped out the 17" to 24" muffler section yet.

Today I did pick up a UpTop Alpha cab rack that I found for sale in a local tundra group. He just so happened to be in my town so it was an easy buy. I didn't have enough time to mount it yet.

I am taking this opportunity to pull the headliner and do the healdiner sound deadening.

One issue with any of the low profile roof racks on a 2020 is the shark fin antenna. Uptop Overland worked with Mesa to make a sharkfin relocation for some Tacoma models but nothing has come up for the Tundra. I decided to dissect the shark fin a bit in case anyone needed to see this.

    20200829_143347.jpg
    20200829_143359.jpg
    20200829_143422.jpg
    20200829_143429.jpg
    20200829_143540.jpg

    Antenna part # 86760-04010

The shark fin housing measures about:
    Height - 2.6"
    Width - 2.6"
    Length - 7.75"

Removal is done by a single 10mm bolt on the underside of the antenna between the headliner and roof.
The part numbers for these coaxial connectors are:
    GT36-4/1S-CV-A
    GT36-4/1S-HU(X)-A

I looked into ordering part # 86101-0C430 but the opposite end would not match up and customization would be needed. This is the cable attached to the roof of the truck that runs from the passanger side to the shark fin itself.
    20200830_131240.jpg
    20200829_112714.jpg

I ended up ordering part # 86101-0C460 to create an extension as it is pre-assembled with a matching male and female plug on either end. This is the cable that is glued to the headliner and runs from the passenger side A-pillar to the rear of the passenger side; plugging into the, previously mentioned, 86101-0C430.
    20200830_131145.jpg
    20200830_131202.jpg

From here, I plan on making a bracket to place the shark fin on the UpTop Alpha rack and a dummy antenna puck to allow the cables to run outside the cab.
I also ordered some 3M vinyl - that matches the hood - to place on the roof prior to permanently installing the rack.

Part of the reason for pulling the headliner was to do sound deadening on the roof. The other part is due to the controversial 'drill blindly into my airbags and secure with a rivnut' situation happening with some rack manufacturers. I also used a drill stop in order to not drill too far.
    20200830_134123.jpg
I have spoken with the guys from Uptop Overland and they seemed very interested in any feedback that I have so I've been documenting while installing.

I am using stainless steel 3/8" x 2" bolts with nylock nuts from Tacoma Screw. Because I chose to use slightly larger hardware, I had to router the mounting feet a little bigger as well as the holes in front spacers.
    20200830_140008.jpg

One of the UpTop guys said to install with the rear feet 2" from the rear break in the rubber weather stripping. I tried and tried to get to 2" but the shark fin was in the way no matter where I put it. I figured 2.25" would be close enough and just barely rubbed the shark fin. Well not only did it really interfere with the shark fin (this removing it, mentioned in the previous post) it was terribly positioned against the grab handle mounts. If I were to have mounted a rivnut there, I would have had issues.
    20200828_100154.jpg

I cut out the section needed with a die grinder and moved on.
    20200830_134227.jpg

After doing the rear, I moved to the front driver side and it went beautifully. Nothing in the way, clean hole.
    20200830_134148.jpg

I moved to the last hole and it was right against the front passenger gab handle. I had to cut a lot of it away in order to get the nut in place.
    20200828_142046.jpg
    20200830_080940.jpg

Hind sight, I should have removed the shark fin to begin with. I would have moved the rack back about 0.75" or so. I would have preferred to move it forward but the angle of the front mounting feet would not accommodate this.

Well I do have a mount in the works but the extension cable that I ordered (part # 86101-0C460) is backordered 2 weeks to a month. I plan on buttoning everything back up since that cable is relatively accessible.

It took way longer than expected but I did get the roof vinyl done.

I had the kids all day today so I made zero progress on the truck today but I have to say WTF TOYOTA!? :annoyed::argue:

I pulled out the 3rd brake light in order to do the vinyl thinking 'this closed-cell gasket/seal is a one-time use disposable part'. Well it turns out Toyota does NOT sell a replacement gasket/seal for the 3rd brake light at all.
    You have 4 options:
    1) Make shift a gasket out of misc materials (RTV, closed cell foam stip, VHB, etc)
    2) Buy an aftermarket gasket; none of which had outstanding reviews. I ended up rush buying this:
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07HMRV8JM?ref=ppx_pt2_mob_b_prod_image
    3) Buy a brand new OEM 3rd tail light (part # 81570-0c050) which has a warehouse cost of $80.
    4) Buy an aftermarket replacement light; none of which had great reviews.

    A couple small updates.

I received the taillight gasket. The quality of the product was good but the shape/fit of the gasket was just so-so. The gasket fit higher than needed at the top which was fine but the bottom was not shaped appropriately to our housing shape.

    20200904_101703.jpg

I did get the rack installed UpTop cab rack and haven't had any issues with rattling, so that's good.

I received the 'extension' for the shark fin and it plugged into the location that I was hoping for with no issues thus far. Because of this I started working on the shark fin mount again.
I plan on mounting this to the driver side of the rack, as low as I am able. Now I just need to make a low profile delete for the sharkfin. That will still allow the wires to run though.

I'm glad that you are enjoying the show.
It is a nice mental break from trying to finish a never ending house build. My OCD and drive to do everything myself really does make everything take much longer than it should.

They are a labor of love. You make them your own and then you are attached to them. They never seem to be finished. It took years to finish my 2015 the way I wanted it. Its always fun to watch someone build their dream truck. Keep up the good work!

I used some scrap plastic (what I believe to be HDPE) to make an aerodynamic sharkfin delete.
The small peice in an attempt to make a bung so I can use waterproof heat-shrink tubing to seal the cables.
I still need to router out the bottom to create a pocket for the plugs but its looking promising and fits below the crossbars.

I looked at the design and decided the delete plate didn't need to be the full size. I also decided to turn the wires to the side instead of out the back. Luckily I had some stainless M6 Rivnut to match the OEM mount bolt.
I love symmetry but this seems more functional.

How do you feel about these spacers?

Loving the build so far! Congrats on the addition.

Thank you. I'm very happy with the truck. I like to personalize my vehicles but the delay for the supercharger is unfortunate.
I really prefer not to use spacer but didn't like the look of the inset wheels after installing the fender flares. Eventually I will install a lift and aftermarket wheels. At that point, I plan on removing the spacers.
As for the quality of the spacers, I have been really happy with them. I got a killer deal on them so it was a no-brainer over Bora or Spidertrax but now they seem to be price competitive. All seem to use the same 6061-T6 Aluminum with a hub-centric fit. I havent noticed any corrosion after having them installed for 6-months.
