Going to put a 6" lift and 37s on soon. I can't stand a truck that sits lower in the rear. I want to run airbags so when I have a sled or motorcycle in the bed it doesn't look ridiculous. I put airbags on my 2500 ram and even with just the 5 psi minimum in the bags it rides rough... Worse than factory. I'm thinking about pulling one or 2 leafs out of the packs of this tundra to give it a softer ride when I install airbags. I'll set the air pressure accordinglyt tolto I also thought it would be nice to dump the air and drop the rear when loading the sled, bike or whatever.

Anyone every do this? Any drawbacks or anything I'm not thinking about?

I’ve read tundra leafs are pretty weak to begin with. If you remove some then it’s even weaker, even with airbags. I wouldn’t think it would be a good idea.

I have the stocks leafs and airbags and it doesn’t seem rough to me.

2018 with airbags and mine rides high in the back with the minimum air pressure but I don't notice it being rougher.

Adding air bags to my CrewMax took the rear end sag away.
Rides nice and level now. 6" ProComp. 37's
I run about 10psi w/46gl of fuel on board.

That just sounds crazy to remove OEM rear leafs. I know you want to have a good ride but could be better with just adding the airbags or getting a better leaf package.
