2006 tpms bypass, which wire?

I found the wiring for the TPMS to bypass it. I have the pink/gray wire with the black stripe, but there is not another pink/gray wire. Is it the all pink wire i ground? Anyone happen to know which wire i ground to by pass the tpms for good? Thanks for the help!

 

@noahtibbetts has an 06, he grounded the solid pink. Page 4 on Disable TPMS thread. He had the pink-silver-black wire and a solid pink wire.

 

So to follow up. I cut the solid pink wire and ran it to the nearest ground. The cut portion from the plug I put a connector on (just in case) and just taped it off. Shrink wrapped the connections and viola, never a tpms light again! Thanks to sflips and noahtibbetts for your help!

 

Okay, I'm confused. Some say for the 2006 Tundra ground the solid pink wire, and others say the pink/silver wire to ground. I haven't tried doing this yet. So, if I see a solid pink wire that's the one to ground. If I don't see a solid pink wire, ground the pink wire with silver bands?

 

Nobody cares to clear this up for me?

Since you are a veteran you get a redo from me, but please go back and read your posts and try to understand how you are coming off. This forum is full of tons of good people who share the love of 1st gen Tundras and just want to help others.

Your question is correct. Cut the solid pink or pink with silver bands.

 

Seth419: I may at times come across angry or post comments that come from frustration (and some anger). Was in Vietnam 68-69 and came in contact with Agent Orange. In 2013 I had a massive heart attack caused by Agent Orange. Vietnam was going to get me one way or the other. My heart stopped beating for over 45 minutes (2013) starving my mind and body of good 'ol H20 while everyone in the hospital gave me Cardiac Arrest and 33 shocks. Doctors didn't think I'd make it and if so my mind and organs would be in bad shape, which they are, but not as bad as they thought. The doctors and all the rest saved my life, which they weren't sure I'd live through it. So sometimes I say things that could be said bitter. But every since VN I've not been the same person that I was before - kind and full of fun. I still deal with some anxiety and paranoia with a little anger mixed in. Not knowing for sure which wire to cut/ground, i simply put small piece of black electrical tape over the obnoxious flashing light. On my 2006 the light is over in the right bottom corner of the display and not noticeable anyway unless you are looking for it. Little afraid creating other electrical problems by cutting and grounding wires when avoidable. When I get new tires will consider whether i want to replace the sensors. RE: buying sensors. I got burned a few years ago paying $85 bucks on ebay and $20 bucks install for set of sensors for my Deville that never worked with efforts by tire shops and the dealer to reset. If I do get new sensors, this time i will pay the extra and buy them locally along with the tires, so I can make sure they work.
