Ok, I'm sure this topic has been beaten to death, but please humor a noob.

Does anyone do 2nd gen rear seat conversion on a 3rd gen Crew Max?

I drove my '08 over 11 years before buying a 2019 Sept last year. I assumed the rear seat was the same but was I in for a shock.

In my '08 I could slide the seat forward a bit and stow a ton of stuff (tools, etc) behind the seat, OUT OF SIGHT.

Now I'm going to have to forfeit some precious bed space to install a toolbox.

Yeah I saw the you-boob vid.

The survey must've been take. in a crack house. If they wanted more cargo space, buy a regular can and install a toolbox.

I think it's something that sounded good on paper but sucks in reality.

I don't know. My only issue with the fold up seats is that the floor isn't level AND there's no storage. If it were level or if it came with storage I would hands down prefer the fold up rear seats. Hell, I still do. I just haven't done the ESP kit because it's still new to me and I don't wanna go cutting her up. lol
