Possible future mods

I’ve been looking at Tonneau covers. What’s the most water tight and secure for tundras? I have a TRD cold air box installed and hoping I can modify it to make my ram air hood functional. Is there any parts to buy or do I have to fabricate my own?

I may be wrong but I’m almost positive the hood is just a fake ram air with a hood scoop bolted onto a solid hood. I’d think you’d have to cut a hole in your hood and the figure out some sort of ducting. That’s not to mention If you’ll throw codes or not. Can it be done? Probably but why? For a fraction of the time and money just buy a tuner.

I’m very skeptical about the claims of “Make your Tundra Breathe Easier!”. The intake doesn’t even pull air from the engine bay. Lol does look cool though.

 

Not for me, I'm not into tuner trucks.

 

I like the stillen cold air intake. It adds an extra inlet for air.

Diamondback if money is no object. They're in a class of their own.

I'm using a BAKflip MX4 and its working out great. It hasn't leaked at all and it's secure enough against an opportunist or a casual theif. I'd almost rather they can get in rather than destroy something attempting to get in.

If I had to gripe about something its that I can't add a rack of some sort to carry stuff above the cover. When I bought it, I had no idea I'd ever need or want a rack. Carrying a couple of kayaks is now a nuisance when I stuff them in the bed.

 

I also hear that the RetraxPRO MX are pretty good at keeping water out. I have 2 in my graage but they both got damaged in shipping so I never got a chance to validate that claim. I gave up after the second one was damaged (although cosmetic) and ordered a Diamondback.

 

I’ve been seeing adds for paragon covers. Anyone know anything about them ?
