The foam piece by the radiator on every Toyota I've owned always seem to be crumbling. Is there any good solution for it?

Just replace it with a new one...16465-0P170 Radiator Assembly Upper Seal. It's about 6 bucks. The foam is a little firmer than what came on my 08.

    HaHaHa...Having owned a Gen1 4 Runner for thirty years, I know what you mean . :D

Like the man said, go buy another one...Or...Go find a generic weatherstrip replacement at Home Depot. That foam filler must be important, or they wouldn't have spent those pennies on the original...Right?

Yea its called the air dam. It helps air going through the radiator instead of going around it.

I like this idea best. It looks like a permanent solution. Is it glued on since I don't see any hardware. I think it would need to come off the next time I pull the radiator to do the timing belt. Otherwise I'll have to see what my local stealer wants for the OE foam.

3m tape. some site prep and cleaning but easy. you replace some clips that hold a wire harness underneath (ie, not visible) but the kit provided some tie straps with 3m to use instead. believe it or not i found the guys contact info and asked if he's still selling them. will let you know if i hear back.

I used a piece of armaflex insulation (i believe what fits 3/4" pipe), been in there for around 5 years now. Squeeze in place no glue.
