I used Chemical Guys Cleaner Slick Finish and I sealed the paint with Chemical Guys Jet Seal paint sealant and Jescar on the rims.

I’ve been using the power lock for over 15 years. Even when it was still Menzerna haha. I think it’s a far superior product than the jet seal.

I wasn't impressed with Jet Seal at its price point. Went back to Collinite. Lasts longer for my needs.

Ideally, your sealant would be followed by the carnuba product, not the other way around. Sealants typically need a clean surface to bond with. Unless you used some type of a paint prep, such as CarPro Eraser, the oils in the carnuba will impede the sealant from doing so. The up side to all of this is that Jet Seal is not one of the better sealants out there, but the PowerLock you have is. I expect that you will see the protection left behind by the JetSeal will break down sooner than you expect, which will give you another opportunity to use the PowerLock.

When this occurs, here is what I'd recommend. Perform a strip wash to help break down whatever is left. Purple Power Auto and Boat Wash will do the trick. Do not waste your time with commercially marketed stip wash products, such as Chemical Guys Clean Slate or Adams Strip Wash, or the proverbial favorite, Dawn Dish Detergent. Follow that up with a clay bar or clay mitt to remove any bonded contaminants from the paint, which you did not mention that you did on this go-round. Lots of guys go right from this step to sealant application. I prefer to do, at the least, a light polish to remove any micro-marring left by the clay step. If you polish, it's best to then do the paint prep step to remove oils left behind by the polish. Now, use the PowerLock, followed by Jescar ColorLock.

Stand back, admire your work, and reward yourself with a cold beverage of your choice.

    Briarpatch,

Thanks for the advise. I usually have used Mother’s and MeGuires products in the past and wanted to try Chemical Guys products. I have clay barred the truck and I’ll probably try the Jescar but I do like the results from today. I’ll look into the Jescar Color Lock. I do wax the truck twice a year so I’ll give your recommendation a try in the fall. Thanks!

No worries. Was not trying to burst your bubble, just trying to help you achieve even better results than you did. If you decide to do a polish step, Meguiars Ultimate Polish (semi pro level) or Meguiars M205 (pro level) will work very well for you. I've used both, and I think you will be happy with the outcome with either one. I've used the PowerLock/ColorLock Combo, and others on detailing forums seem to really like PowerLock topped with Collinite 845.
