What have you done to your 2nd gen Tundra today?

Got my new Custom made sheepskin seat covers installed today. Had Shearcomfort make them, they fit perfect and are so comfortable

 

Nice. I have both bumpers and my BW flares done in Line-X Premium. Now I have to figure out what to do about my N-Fabs....the powdercoat is F'd up. The vendor wanted me to buy another set so that I have a return box for these under the warranty as well as pay $65 for shipping. They are just over a year old IIRC.

Line X them, I did my Rhinos. Powder coat is temporarily, eventually it's gonna get scratched up. I got mine done for around $200-250, can't remember

 

Damn! Don't fall asleep sitting on them. They definitely look comfy

 

Washed it after a long holiday weekend of pulling the boat.

 

Yeah the powder coat has dull flat spots. They are in areas that don't get stepped on. Makes it look like crap.

 

My tools and gear will be heavier than the Maxtrax. I've thought about mounting them on the bed rail but I'm not a fan of the options from ORW or Rago

 

Fair enough. Victory 4x4 might have an option too if memory serves.

 

I don't know if anybody answered this question already for you but I figured I would answer for the group if anyone else was wondering. First, you have to pull the dash apart to find the flasher module under the steering wheel on the left side.


The connector highlighted in the yellow circle is connected to the flasher module and the connector you are interested in if you want to do this mod.

the small grey wire directly in the center of the left column of wires on the connector is the wire you want to either put a switch on or cut as I did. Cutting this wire gives you stealth mode, with no lights when the light stalk is rotated all the way down. One click up, turns the lights back on along with the tail lights and dimming the dash. The only thing this does is remove the always-on ambers, blinkers, hazards and all other functions are retained.

 

You do know winter is over now and it's getting hotter outside, right?

 

I do know that...great thing about sheepskin, cool in the summer, warm in the winter...

 

yes that is the mount I use for my TRED. I like it. been solid so far.

I installed a heavy duty rad screen tonight. It’s installed on 3m Velcro that I sprayed with contact cement to the frame parts.






Edit* for those wanting a link, this is a custom piece I got from spare parts at work years ago and have been saving

 

They offerred me the same but new ones will only last another year and you're in the same boat. I had mine sandblasted and coated with a PolyArmour product at my powder coater. Cost $250 but will last many years and if it gets dinged or chipped you can heal it with a blow dryer or heat gun and the coating will flow to seal the ding.

 

I'll definitely have to call around. These are the flat areas that look like crap.

 

These were mine after 2 winters in Wisconsin.

 

Wrapped my stock step bars today with satin black vinyl.

 

Finally had all the parts to fix the drivers side headlight washer nozzle on Mom's rig.

I sprayed mine with Raptor liner. and mixed sand into it for grip.

 

Replaced a broken wheel stud today and found a worn out tie rod end while I had it apart. Parts on order, will be here Friday

 

I'm sure it is in NY.

 

Installed Morimoto XB LED headlights. I debated for 2 or 3 weeks about spending what they wanted for them, but when I happened upon a HR group buy thread, that s all it took. I opened wallet, and never looked back.

 

I originally said that because someone commented on their multiple properties blah blah blah. I live in an apartment, and have nothing else to speak of besides my Tundra, and A decent job. IMO That's all a person needs...or rather, that s all I need.
