Well I just had my truck in for it’s 50,000 mile service a few weeks ago. I had them check my battery thinking that since it’s a 2017 Tundra than I probably should get another one. My dealer said my battery was reading good.

After driving up to the hardware store this afternoon I got to try my Toyota Roadside Assistance for the first time!

Had to get a new battery. Since it’s Sunday and the only choice was Autozone. Got myself a Duralast Gold.

 

It is very good.

 

That sucks! You even asked them to check the battery too! You have a specific battery you would have gone with if you had more options? I don't know much about them have always been curious if there are better batteries out there than what's available at general auto stores.

 

Memorial Day deal

I’ve been waiting on a power tool combo sale and had to pop on this to replace my failing ryobi and craftsman stuff I’ve had for about 10 years

 

This is getting added to the stable tomorrow. First thing to go, will be the wheels. It's a 71 with original drivetrain and only 74k actual miles. Same owner since 1976.

 

Oh my...Great looking except for those elephants it is wearing.

 

These will be the replacements.

My local Toyota dealer had Interstate batteries. Or at least an Optima or Odyssey battery would have been other choices.

I put a Duralast Gold in my wife’s Sienna and she has a lot of electrical moving parts.

Hopefully after reading the reviews the Duralast Gold seems to be a good battery. At least it has a 3 year warranty and the new battery is dated 4/20 so it’s fresh!

 

I’ve been wanting this 1/2” High Torque Impact Wrench for a while now. When they included the 2 speed grease gun with the kit I decided to pull the trigger.

 

Those will look great.

Well, I totally feel like a big ole dumbass. I had a deal worked out for this truck Saturday, didn't tell alot of people. Tonight I decided to let my tundra friends know. Shortly after I posted this up, I got a text from the owner.

That's what the wife keeps telling me. I'll find another one and I'll have cash in hand, the hell with giving them time to think about it. Lol

 

Lol that's what I did on my boat last year. Told the guy I wanted it and took off the next day on a 12 hour one way road trip didn't want him to back out or ponder over it. Within a couple days he was already regretting it.

 

It was Saturday afternoon when we verbally made the deal, had to wait till tomorrow for the bank to open and get the cash. It is what it is.
