I think I will save that extra money for gas, food, ammo, and buy the Pro Form Fabs. They are only shackles. Why spend 6 times the money for the same results? To each his own.

Hopefully the upper bolts line up correctly. Check that first.

Yea, I have some reservations, but I'm optimistic. I did speak with the guy at Pro Form Fabrication. He assures me that I will be 100% satisfied. It was worth it to save $300.

One of my factory bolts on my 2012 was very very stuck and had to be cut. No amount of heat or banging would get it loose.

My truck is barely a year old. Never been in mud or water, no salt conditions. So, I hope those bolts will knock out easily. :fingerscrossed:

I have the pro-forms and they are a really nice heavy duty shackle if you don’t need an adjustable style

you can knock your stock bolts out pretty easily with a mini sledge. Mine lined up perfectly

Glad to hear that. They have not arrived yet, but I'm thinking they should be pretty easy to install. I have done way bigger suspension work than shackles. All I want is an extra 1 1/2 inch in back. These PRO's sit SO level, almost too level for my liking.

so the description for Toytec shackles states that they are not to be used on the lowest hole setting for Tundras. If thats the case, then wouldn't the bolt rubbing issue be non-existent?

The lowest hole would put the shackles through the bed. The second hole you have rubbing on bed bolts. Makes you wonder why that if this is designed for the Tundra then why is there a third hole at all.

The older ones have 3 holes as pictured. The new black ones do not. They only have 2 holes.

thats what I saw as well. new ones only have two holes and if you are not suppose to use the bottom hole as noted. would the shackle still hit the bed bolt on the top hole?

The bottom hole on the older ones doesn't get used on the Tundra. On the black ones, the lower hole is the 1 inch setting, and the other is the 1.5 inch setting. The 1 inch setting is what touched the bed bolts on some trucks.

Update: I got the squeak on one side. It’s been a few weeks since the install, things must have settled.

I am debating my options. If I have to take everything off to grind the bed bolt I may just replace them with CB +1s.

You should be able to do it without removing the shackle. A few on here have done it.

I like my Coachbuilders " 1.5 lift shackles. They come with a new leafspring bushing to replace the binding squeaking factory one.
