    Hello all,
I have a 2019 TRD Pro with 285 70 18 Nitto Ridge Grapplers. Pretty happy with the stance and prefer to remain as stock as possible but I noticed i’m only about 3/4 inch away from the UCA. Very minimal off-roading if any and more for hauling household stuff and road-trips with the family. Is that 3/4 inch distance Ok or are spacers warranted?6F63AA3C-5EE0-4AD8-934A-6960B699B03A.jpg

Let’s see what the experts say about this

Personally I don’t recommend spacers because I heard they lessen the ride quality and the most important fact to me big spacers lead to accelerated tire and suspension components wear.

But let’s see what everyone has to say about this I’m also intrigued by the same question because I’m close to buy new tires and looking for something bigger than stock tires but looking to keep everything stock if possible, just bigger tires in stock wheels.

Nothing wrong with wheel spacers. You don't need them it sounds like.

I've never heard of them worsening ride quality and don't see why that'd happen, and a spacer from a suspension/joint stress perspective is identical to a deeper (pushed out) wheel. I've raced offroad with spacers on the truck and had them on street vehicles for thousands of miles with zero issue. If you decide to get spacers just get a good hub-centric one like Spidertrax.

The spacers are not necessary; I've ran LT285/70R18 and LT285/75R18 tires with stock wheels and no wheel spacers and have had no issues. I would only get them if you want to change the look/stance.

I have Spidertrax on my 18 Platinum. Rides just like it did before the spacers.

From a stress on suspension / steering components view, it’s the same force as having a more offset / dished wheel.

    You don't need spacers.
Truck looks fine the way it is..

Years ago local dealer put 305/55/20s on TSS (55+ offset) wheels on new SR5 trucks with a cheapo spacer lift.
It had much less than 3/4" clearance.

I have run spacers on Tacoma’s, FJs , and my current PRO...buy quality products, BORA, SpiderTrax...don’t buy eBay garbage. Check them often with tire rotation, and routine maintenance and you won’t have an issue.

Nice truck! Do you have a picture of the clearance between the tire and UCA?
