I looked in manual, I searched here. I may have missed something though. At the front of my '17 8ft bed is a single keyhole style mount. Was it for a specific attachment? Generally holes like that are for a reason.

Also there is 4 large cuttouts in the front of the bed with rubber plugs. I could see 1 for ease of camper installs, but 4? any special items that use them?

Thanks in advance, I'm just getting ready to install mounting rails on the bed and am leery of screwing up through ignorance.

The keyhole is to help hold the OEM bedrail in place for correct positioning during installation. And the 4 cutouts are supposedly drains. I punched a hole in one of them to run power for my toolbox lights.

Ok, thanks. They seem a bit high for drains though.

Yep. I recall seeing that there are some covers or shells with drain hoses that you run out through these.

The drain holes in my Tacoma bed are on the floor near the cab. Much smaller and open. Much more sensible.

There are drains like that at the front of the Tundra bed on the floor. They are like slots where the floor and front meet. They get clogged easy if you have small debris in your bed. The 4 capped oblong holes , I don't think are for draining.

    Not many yet, mostly stock.
My old tundra had a backflip bed cover, the mount rails had tubes on them to drain water. The drain tubes ran to two of the outside bed drain covers with 3/8 holes in them.

So do they make a plug for that keyhole? Rain can still get in if not plugged. I’ve exhausted my Googling, as it has given me every other bed plug except for this exact keyhole shape.

Does anyone know where I can find a plug for this shape? TIA
