Anyone install the V6 Triton Extremes on their tundra. I'm having issues fitting the bulb in the housing. The screws seem to stick out a tad to far to fit in the slots.

I have extremes in my 2017, but they are installed in 2018 OEM led set of lights. I didn’t have any problems with them fitting, but did take some adjusting to get them. I called VLED a couple of times and they were very helpful. Might be worth giving them a call.

Yeah that is the plan tomorrow. Just thought I would find someone that could help on here since they are closed. I can only line up 3 of the screws to fit in the housing slots. Even with 3 screws they stick out a tad to far and I dont want to force it in.

Have you looked at this and tried using spacer. C1366BDB-0D50-4819-AF7D-9DCA306E7ADB.jpg

I think I had to use spacer, and switch screws around to align with holes.

I have these on my ‘18 and if I remember right it took just two screws opposite each other, not three.

Agree, I think I may have used only 2 as well. FCEE193F-5173-4425-B976-98E7FD75781C.jpg

Anyone have any issues with the plug that goes where the factory bulb was staying connected? It just slips in but there’s nothing to keep it connected. Is the large piece of heat shrink supposed to go over that connection and keep them connected? Doesn’t seem like too good of a connection.

You should get a decently solid connection between the VLEDs blade and the OEM connector. My advice if it seems loose is to push... just a bit harder. It should kind of lock in.

The heat shrink is primarily to protect the joint from the elements.

Thanks Colton. I bought the vleds front amber turn signal kit after talking to you last week. Struggling getting the bulbs to twist and lock.

Oh wait a sec. You're struggling to get the bulbs to stay in the headlight housing, or you're struggling with the blade connector going into the OEM wiring harness?

Both. The blade connector and getting the bulbs to twist in and lock. I guess I’ll take the grill etc off to see if I can maybe get a better attempt at it. I haven’t tried pushing a little harder yet to see if the blade will click/lock in yet but will when I get everything taken apart.

Damn...nothing like getting your butt kicked by a small project like Iol. Post pics of what you have. I have never had any issues with their stuff since 2012 when I started using them.
