Couple set backs painting my headlights and trying to restore the lenses.
All primed, ready to hit with a scotch brite pad/soapy water
    20200501_160902.jpg

Disaster struck, as I was blowing them off to dry them, air caught an edge and peeled the paint, argh! I used adhesive promoter and self etching primer, 2 cans on the housings alone. Lesson learned.
    20200501_230329.jpg

Another setback, this spare set of lights I had, the lenses were pretty trashed. Was really hopeful they would come back to life. But, after sanding and buffing, I went to hit them with clear coat and the clear coat cracked. Theyre ruined. Hit ebay and found some lights that have tabs broken etc, wound up finding a set for $65 shipped and Ill just rob the lenses off them.
    20200503_230550.jpg

Wanted to try something different with the turn signal housings. Krylon makes a stained glass spray, Ive seen some ricers use it on their fogs. Hit it with 10 coats on the back and 4 on the front and then clear coated. 20200501_170907.jpg

Heres a sneak peak as they sit waiting for the other set to come in. 20200505_205250.jpg

I finally finished routing the wires and got the 2 sets of KC lights I bought over the winter. You have to look real hard to see the Ditch lights, they blend in with the mirrors in this shot. They are KC pod lights on Rago brackets. The KC's on the push bar are yellow when on.

Had the battery and outer tie rods replaced, but the tech says the inner’s are seized and need to be replaced as well. Hate parting with so much money at once, but this is a 12 year old pickup that hasn’t needed much maintenance done in the 5 years I’ve owned it.

If your steering and suspension components are as siezed up as mine were (and you haven't had to adjust alignment since the truck was made), good luck getting the LCA cam bolts loose.

Momma has discovered the Morimoto XB headlight upgrade/update, and now wants it for her sequioa. I know I saw someone somewhere on here that had them.

How do you like them so far?

    Easy install?
I'm assuming its literally just like swapping out headlights which I'm sure is no big deal. I mean hell, it can't be any harder than removing old, putting in new, and plugging everything up. I practically did that for the headlight washer nozzle.

    Are we expecting lens fade?

I would HATE to spend $900 roughly and then in a few years the lenses fade similar to OG headlights?

Gas tank skid plate broke a bolty?

Should the skid plate mount point really be riveted? Is that OG, or an el cheapo repair?

I bought them but yet to install. all my research says plug and play. few notes:

    1. they come with headlight leveling feature but if your truck doesnt have it you can still add. there's a wire harness you can buy for a hilux on ebay or make one if you're inclined. i'll be adding leveling to mine.
    2. if you swap headlights be careful removing the extension panels (ie, filler panels) underneath the headlights. the two plastic guide pins break off pretty easy. watch a youtube video on how to remove the panels
    3. if she has fog lights consider getting their fog lights too or a set of LEDs to match the new headlights

good luck, glad my wife isnt into modding. i cant afford another mod junkie.

She does not consider them a "mod" but an upgrade. This is the last time I mention an "upgrade" casually.

As far as I know Sequoia's don't have the leveling system or at least ours does not. I might be wrong. Someone please correct me if I am.

Extension panel clips, and drivers side panel are already on order due to the washer nozzle thing.

Spent last weekend picking up these curb throwaways and flipping them. 5 in total.

Used the funds to get these:

Now to find the time to install.

New Vision 372 Raptor rims tight af IMO love it gangsta so what I’m like is what do you guys use for matte wheels to keep them protected?

Also I’d love to get Spyder headlights but I’ve heard so many bad things about their light output which is a huge deal for me where I live with no street lights.. any input appreciated
