    Hey everyone
Despite reading everything here on the troubles with the SAIS system. I was bull headed and I replaced the bank one valve on my truck which was stuck open. After having two days of trouble free driving the check engine light came back on and now valve 2 was failing like I had been warned. I ordered the bypass kit from Hewitt tech that night. Parts Geek did except my return on the valve, however but I still am waiting to see how much they refund me.

My question is what can I remove from the truck after installing the bypass module? Obviously the kit comes with the block off plates so I can remove the valves from bank 1 & 2. Can I also remove the pumps and hoses as well?

Since I am furloughed for a few weeks I though it would be a good time to replace the valve cover gasket and sparkplug tube seals on the right side as well.

    Thanks for the help everyone.

My thoughts when I did my 2010 was leave it all there for emissions testing to not raise attention.

at what point is It a good idea to do the SAIS bypass?
do you wait for your truck to throw a particular code or are people doing this as a preventative measure?

just read about the SAIS issue and not really sure what to think.. do I wait for something to happen or is this something I should be looking at doing right away?

not familiar with the air injection system at all so if anyone could explain what it actually does that would be appreciated as well

Looks like the air pump system breaks, then its easier to just bypass the computer sensors than fix it

alright so would it be recommended to bypass it before it breaks?
