Had I known I was going to be quarantined at home I would have posponed some of my Tundra projects. I did so much to my truck in 2019. All I have left are the really expensive items. Long tube headers, exhaust, front bumper.

I'm really considering doing my jba shorty header install. I know I don't have all the tools I need though so trying to stop myself. It's the last thing I have here without spending too much money!!

I wish it were that easy. I don't have any ratcheting wrenches. Only (1) 3" extension for my socket OH and my driveway is dirt. I just did my brakes using (2) 60lb bags of sakrete that got wet and putting my jack on top of it. Can't count on that for a 10hr install(best case)!! Especially knowing how many mechanics have complained about this install, I'm woefully unprepared to do it but almost bored enough to try. Just got to keep talking myself out of it!

Pic of the (2) 60lb bags stacked with jack on top. :)

@imDementeD just do what I used to do, find a parking lot and have at it

All jokes aside, you'll need good ground to do it. You need to have the front on jack stands and a jack under the motor to lift it so you can remove motor mounts.

These were my best friends when I installed mine:
    14 mm ratcheting box end
    14 mm sockets and extensions
    Swivel adapters
    Beer

Go pick up some pavers from Lowe's or HD. They're pretty cheap.

Old man tan is bugging me. if my interior were grey i'd live with it.. but old man tan... no thank you.. plus this modernizes it.

The radio bezel and the center console trim im thinking having them painted Cement grey.. should look pretty damn good for a dated as hell design

I guess I never paid attention to the color on any of your interior pics. I don't think I could handle the tan either.

It may be "dated" to you, but in my opinion modern vehicles have too many bells and whistles. The first gens are just right for me as far as positioning of everything on the dash, and cluster. 2nd gens with the tubular cluster bezel thing, no thanks. Moms '08 sequoia has the same dash as the tundra I think.

Why do I need dual controls for both driver and passenger front HVAC? Stupid. Too many options.

Whenever my pops drives it he always gets frustrated that moms side blows heat, and his side blows cold. He thinks there is something wrong.

    Keep it simple.

Yup, I sometimes pull the temp control knob off and put it in my door panel so my wife doesn't put the damn dehydration mode on. If I don't watch she'll put the heat on full blast. I need less controls available if anything.

Agreed. I can understand for front and rear, but not for front driver, and passenger.

    One control for each.

Yup, that does make sense. For my truck I aim the center vents to the passenger and shut off the one on the far left so she can have all the heat. I hate hot air.

I personally don't hate hot air per se, I hate artificial hot air.

Man, I’d kill for auto climate control in these trucks. Having it in my wife’s car is sweet. Set it to 67 and forget about it.

How hard you think this would be to swap out of a Sequoia?

But that’s just for the rear seat A/C right? Or does it utilize both for the dual zone?

I could care less about dual zone, I just want to set my temp to 67 and have the fan adjust as needed. Not like I’m gonna dump my truck if it can’t be done, I’m just gonna be hitting up boneyards soon and might consider the option if I come across a good Sqeuoia.

You must live somewhere temperate. 300 days a year mine stays on full blast A/C. The other 65 my windshield is frozen in the morning, it’s 95 by lunch and then freezing again at 5pm.

I live in Florida and can't have it on full blast the entire time. Cab gets super cold!!

I do love this feature in my car though. Usually set to 70 with cooled seats and it's perfect!!

Yeah that powers the rear area. If you meant a climate control, like pick a temp and it stays, not sure how hard that would be. @empty_lord question there

It would involve some re pining and a donor truck. The sequoia a/c box is actuator controlled. Tundras are all cable

But with enough effort a sequoia setup “should” be “simple” (relatively speaking)to make work in a double cab. The other cabs likely would take a lot of work
