So I decided to do a little more research and found out my head unit was a 2015 model with my truck being a 2016. So as soon as I downloaded the update for the 2015 instead of 2016 it took it and have not had an issue for about a month now. How I found it was a 2015 model was I googled the hard no: found on the software update section in the head unit and googled from there. Attached are pictures of what I googled to try to help everyone else with this problem. Hope it helps

No I didnt buy new. You have to go to the Toyota site and download it to a flash drive and then put it into your head unit. If you aren’t having any problems with it I would just leave it alone. Youtube has a lot of videos on it.
