Got a call from a buddy this evening. He and his Tiguan ended up off the road, and could I please rescue him. Always game for stuff like that, and he wasn't far. 10 minutes later I pull up, and see he's not only off the road, but down an embankment. Talk about a ride! Luckily he and the car was okay. We rigged up, and I pulled him out. Despite the steep slope and slippery roads, the truck weighs enough that a steady application of power was enough to pull him up and out, without resorting to snatching. Damn, I love this truck. And, winter tires for the win!

I ordinarily would never post a picture of me on the internet, but you can't see my face. So I am comfortable with it.

I played around with the night settings on my phone tonight.

Big dipper in the first picture.
In the last picture above the house on the knoll you can see Venus.

Thanks - Took a few of them with my iPhone spur of the moment, mainly because I stopped to admire the sunset!

Old bridges are cool. Even when they not really old but you know there's been one there for couple of hundred years.
