What mods did you have in mind? Might help the guys in the area point you in the right direction.

I would like to get rid of or at least be able to turn off the daylight running lights. Also would like to make the steering a little more precise, truck feels like it kind of wandering down the highway.

Well wider tires will help with the tightness some. So will a rear sway bar. You could do those yourself.

SABM, TRD sway bar, interior LED swap, Husky's in front and WeatherTech in the back, TRD Pro Grill, Rigid Fod lights, Rigid 40" E-series, Rigid 32" hood light, BLHM with RX350/STI projectors, 4% tint, 50% windshield.
I've done most of the mods myself, but with anything that I couldn't handle Kelly Auto Repair in Auburn was a huge help. He's known to build couple 2000hp cars and well trusted in many areas. You could talk to him, he shares building with Oreily's in downtown Auburn.
