Bilstein 6112/5160 vs Maxtrac 3.5" Spindle Lifts for 2wd

Was going to purchase a Bilstein kit with 6112 set at 2.5" with shims for a 3" lift /5160 and rear shackles set at 1.5" for my 2wd Tundra. After reading a few posts here about Maxtrac spindle lifts for 2wd tundras looking to see if anyone has used one over the other and why? Thanks...

Not everyone needs a 4wd, sounds like OP wants a ride he can be proud of while also being practical and applicable for his situation. No problem with that.

@YotaTruckLtd I don’t have much to offer in terms of answering your question, but I’m following this thread as I’m wondering the same thing (I have a 2016 SR5, also 2wd).

 

Not looking to sell anytime soon and will drive it until it doesn't run anymore. Not going offroading just asking for based on looks and ride quality.

 

If one has no desire to offroad. A spindle lifted 2wd is the very best option. It is a way to lift a truck and maintain every oe angle, geometry, strength, etc

The spindle lifted truck can ride like stock if you want that.

Op, what are your goals for the truck?

The way i see a 2wd: if you just want height and bigger tires, spindles are a no brainer.

But the advantage to shocks are the upgraded suspension performance. Handles tighter, soaks up the big bumps. But also rides stiffer around town, tradeoffs
