There were several other options rather than just hack a shoebox size space out of them in the front and the angled portion they hacked off in the rear. I'd rather lift it to 3 or 3.25", reinstall a full liner, then figure out the best fitment route.

I agree the liner will need some heavy tweaking, but I'm okay with doing that myself to achieve the desired look/functionality.

If you ordered your kit from them. I want call the supplier. Cause if they sold the kit to the install company they should know how to put it on. For example the company did my lift did not sale toy tec lifts and they could not put it on cause they was not a dealer from them.

Sounds like you handled it well.
To be honest these things happen, someone who normally assists on these jobs may have been required to do yours and made a bad judgement call. As long as the shop fixes the problem, no harm no foul.

Been there done that...back in 05 my brand new DC was stolen out of my driveway and the next time I saw it was on the news. They shot a public official in a drive by shooting. The surveillance camera at Sears caught the whole thing. That sucked, never saw my truck again :(

Hah honestly wouldn't put it past Murphy's Law and some wild shit happening to the truck. The longer I have it the more I look at the CMC and realize how fucked it is. Theres literally a 3/10" start of a cut, then they backed off and said nah let's go shallower...and just left the cut as is lol it is insane.

    But we will see.

    Update 2/13/20:

Shane (shop manager) came by this morning and picked the truck up from the house. We did a walk around and I discussed the issues I had with their work and he agreed fully. Said to give him the day and let him make it right.

Fast forward to an hour ago Shane dropped the truck back off. Coilovers adjusted and raised to 3" as intended. Carrier bearing drop kit installed this go around. Cab mount cleaned up (chopped, welded, grinded, repainted). Wheel well liners reinstalled. Holes were drilled deeper into the well to push the liners back as well as a heat gun taken to them and molded correctly. Everything looks absolutely great.

They took measurements, as did I, and the rear sits about a 1/2" higher than the front (previously it was closer to 1.2" rake). It sits perfectly. No rubbing anywhere and they did a great job.

I asked why this wasnt the outcome the first go around (not being a dick, just genuinely curious) and instead of giving me some bullshit answer like I figured one might, he simply stated "I (he) do not know and I'm still getting to the bottom of it." I can appreciate honesty like that.

So all in all, I'm happy with the outcome. Took an extra week and some change to get it right, but hey, it is what it is. Thanks for listening to my rant folks.

Looks nice. I feel your pain. It turned cold here so I had a shop do mine. Looked like they took a chainsaw to the liners, and mine had a crap alignment [Left turn, Clyde]. They tried to BS me saying they had an alignment shop that does lifted trucks do it. BS...the scan of the alignment they sent me had the top and bottom chopped off so one couldn't see the name. Couldn't hide the watermark though....Tires Plus

Finally found a shop to correct the issue, rides great now. Just have to wait for spring to correct the liner situation (is -13F here right now).

I personally would rather bumper shims then mess with the liner. Not sure though if you guys are talking about the backside of the fender though. Here is a pic of my trucks bumper now with bumper shims.

So the wheel well liner is just thin ABS plastic. The shop originally (see pics) cut large gaping holes in it like idiots. This go around, they reinstalled fresh OEM liners and by re-drilling holes farther into the back of the bumper caps and refastening them, they were able to pull the liner back a considerable amount and then used a heat gun to softly melt the liner and push it out of the way. Once it cools, it retains this "deformed" shape. You wouldn't be able to tell it was reformed unless you had an untouched liner sitting next to it or worked on Tundras daily. Clears wheel rub and keeps an OEM look.

Got ya all I needed was 1/2" to clear my new wheels set up at least I hope still wont have wheels for another 4 weeks possibly. But I dont mind the look mine has from doing what i did. With fender flares on I dont think anyone will notice at all. But the new wheels are -44 offset wheels so wish me luck haha

Yeah, you really can't tell unless you know exactly how an OEM Tundra front liner is supposed to be shaped hah. And I'm sure your truck will come out great. Bumper shims don't look bad at all. Whatever it takes to achieve the look/functionality you want!

Thank you. Super pleased with the outcome.
