I’m getting a 35x11.5 or 285/75r18 set installed tomorrow with full-size spare. I’ll update here. Upsizing from 275/70r18 or 33x11. i have a 2+” front and 1”rear. I already deleted the front spats and rubber malleted the skid. Hoping for the best/ preparing for the worst. I am all-in on some more ground clearance and back country insurance, so I’ll do whatever to get it to fit, including the spare at this point. Where I am now...

Also adding spidertrax spacers on stock wheels to hopefully meet the wheel wells and provide better fitment.

Also love the Falken and will be upsizing in the same model. Best rain AT I’ve driven yet.

So the fit was a no go with the 1.25” spacers but 285/75r18 fit without them. 1/2” UCA clearance and tight on front fender liner and mud guard. Things that are easily modified. The spacer made it rub metal in the front and rear. E5F1A3B9-116C-4FBC-ABF1-2D7E5B84723F.jpg

What didn't fit with the wheel spacers? Was it rubbing the cab mount or the front bumper/liner?

I ran 35x12.50x18s on a 2" lift with +25 offset wheels (the +25 offset is very close to the OEM wheels with the spacers.) and I cleared the cab mount. I have a high-clearance front bumper but I think that my setup would have been fine with the stock bumper and bumper shims.

Rubbing both the cab mount and hard into the bumper liner with the spacers it cleared fine without them.

Hmmm. Alignment with more caster (?) might help a bit with the cab mount and bumper shims and pushing the liner forward could help with the front. 285/75 is tall - 34.8" (my 35s were ~34.6) so it will be tight. If you are not wheeling the truck hard then the 1/2" clearance between the tires and UCAs (w/o the spacers) should be fine.

I think that alignment technique would require new UCA’s . There’s honestly no rubbing without the spacers and I’m happy to send them back .

I plan moderate off-roading, not rock-crawling. I removed the spat and hammered the skid in, I’m happy with the minimal work I had to do. I’m sure with more caster and movement of the front bumper it would be fine with spacers or lower offset, but honestly I’m happy with how it turned out.
Think there’s a safe amount of room, may do some fender well molding if I get rubbing off-road.
I haven’t had any rubbing thus far with the setup driving all over town today. Full lock multiple times to park, no rub. Just gonna send the spacers back and run without.

So you went with the 285 75 18 right? I am on 2" lift and looking to do the same without using spacers.

Most newer vehicles don’t go on the dyno, they just hook up to the OBDII and do visual check.

most locations don’t have rollers set right for 35s there are some locations that do.

The one by be doesn’t allow 35s. Had to put 33s on the rear of my old 84, swapped over from my old Tacoma.

I did 285/75r18 and like them. They stay in the fended well and didn’t require excessive cutting. Just pushed in skid and removed front spat.
