2019 5.7 trans cooler location

I second starting a new thread. Let's get an Obd thread going for Tundras so we can compare and share pids, gauge setups, etc...

Now that you are familiar with the car, is there any good spot besides the drain plug, to install an engine oil temperature sensor?

 

I have no idea. Maybe the drain plug?...

 

Nice job , did you get the chance to check the trans temp after installing the cooler ? Interested to see how much you are getting

@chasenicholas93 had asked that if possible that I post some pics of the hard lines mounts. Figured I would post them here for everyone. The old rusty pics are from my 08 and the shiny ones are my 19.

 

Do the Toyota hard lines come with the bolts? Also how close to the rad do the hard lines go and can you just add regular trans hose on that end or do you need heat insulation on them as well? Thanks for posting these.

 

You have to order the bolts separately. It dumps out under the alternator and from there just use standard 3/8 atf hose to go out to the cooler.

Bolts are 9008010400

Posted to the wrong thread... here is what I posted.

Okay, everyone. I can now say it's complete. I did the tempature check and only had to fill 1 quart of ATF. I went on a 1 hour drive while it was 62° outside going up and down hilly terrain with wide open throttle on a lot of them. Pan temp maintained 189-191° the whole time. The torque converter got up to 210° but quickly dropped to match the ATF temp within 15 seconds of slowing down or going back down a hill. The hill I was using was close to a 1 mile long. Me doing this prior to the cooler the pan temp would get to 220° pretty fast. The cooler does it's job. After the drive, the cooler was very hot to the touch and was dispersing the heat very well.
