    I just bought a 2017 Tundra Platinum with the Toyota OEM remote starter, can I just remove it and then install this remote starter in its place?

    The OEM is ok but I'd like the Carlink app to be able to start it when we are snowmobiling and get 10 miles away. It would be awesome to get back to a warm truck;)

    When I ordered mine Randy said just put anything in that mycar box. It is not anything that is actually needed. So I just put a N/A in the box.

    Is anyone else getting an alarm like this randomly throughout the day? I got 3 last night and it’s annoying as hell to wake up to. Will call service today on it but was wondering if anyone else is getting this?

    Got mine Friday installed yesterday. Works perfect easy install I also ordered the additional wire harness from 12volt works great no cutting required. Next is to add the smart phone mod.

    So finally returned from overseas and installed yesterday. Needed some help w the car link set up but James called within 5 min and walked me thru the steps. Much appreciated. I am getting alot of the car link alarm notifications though. Is this normal? Anyone?
    Also there was mention of a white w black stripe wire for factory alarms. Is that something I missed?

    I was getting a ton of alarms too. I went to send feedback on the CL6 app wrote them which code it was and they reset it on their end and I haven’t gotten one since

    I wondered about the black and white stripe wire too. I noticed it in the install instructions but I didn’t see an extra wire coming from the harness. I know where it goes and what it does but I didn’t see the wire. Did I forget to buy this? There was a gray and black strip wire with a push button (almost like a hood pin). Didn’t do anything with that. I installed about a month ago and everything works perfect except the car alarm. If anyone can guide me on the wire i’d like to fix this eventually.

    So I got a car link module from a buddy for Xmas. The harness it came with requires to wire in positive ground and horn. How did you all go about that.

    For those that got the CL6 module and app, it there a setting to get the GPS location to work?

    I can lock/unlock and start fine but everything I've seen shows a GPS location screen.

    Meaning you can’t find the screen for gps location? On iPhone swipe up on the arrow at the bottom and the icon on the left is a map. Tap it and it should show you the location.
