How else would you know to “drive safely and obey traffic rules” without it? :notsure:

Honestly though, I hope you find a way.

I believe if you turn your engine on and then proceed to blink slowly 3 times.... it goes away. However, this is only a temporary solution. As you must do this each time you crank the engine.

That bastard is dusty. Hadn’t noticed until I came back and looked at the photo.
I’m sure their lawyers had them put it on so I didn’t think there’d be an easy way to get rid of it. I have no idea why it bugs me so damn much, I just get tired of seeing it every time I start it. It’s pissing me off a lot more than it really should though.

The unintended consequences of our overly litigious society and generations that refuse to acknowledge anything resembling personal responsibility. Imagine how much cheaper products could be if companies didn't have to pay an army of lawyers to make sure their "CYA" policies were sufficient.

My Kenwood Excelon DDX9905S did, it wouldn't go away until you touched the screen.
For that exact reason, I replaced it with a Pioneer AVH-W4400NEX that would cancel the startup message after a few seconds.
Unfortunately the Pioneer AVH-W4400NEX is crapping out on me after only 18 months of use with a 1 year warranty.
The Kenwood has a 2 year warranty.
I should have sucked it up on touching the screen on start-up for working aftermarket HU.

    Shopping for another Kenwood..

My Kenwood does it, but it goes away on it’s own in a few seconds.

My Pioneer AVH-W4400NEX does the same thing.
But after only 18 months (6 months out of warranty) it won't let me change presets
Well, it lets me change preset, EQ, or any other setting, but when I shut off the engine and restart, the old settings are back.
I've tried a restart of the HU (with the menu and the reset button on the face) and it resets to default, but once I shut of the engine and restart, all the old settings are back.
I emailed Pioneer and they were no help at all.

SO I'm looking to buy another Kenwood, should have kept the one I had.
Kenwood has a 2 year warranty.
    Which HU are you running?

You're exactly right. It reminds me of the bimbo who several years ago put a hot coffee cup between her legs at a drive thru then squeezed her legs together and burned herself. She settled for some big bucks. Now those same cups have a "hot contents" warning on them.

By the time I start the engine, fasten seatbelt, check mirrors, release E-brake, shift into gear, that message on the screen is LONG GONE. Never really paid it much attention anyway.
