    Hello all,
I am looking for some advice about replacing the turn signals on my '05 Tundra. The headlight and a corresponding parking light went out within 2 weeks of each other, (with the parking light going out first, thank goodness) and I would like to changed to LED's and have read about the 'load equalizer' that is being recommended. My question is this: Since each sides front and rear turn run in sync with each other, should I install 1 load equalizer for each sides front and rear turn signal (on each side, right and left) or should I install 2, one for front, and one for rear, with a total of 4 equalizers for the 4 bulbs)? Also is there any other lights on my truck that I should also invest other load equalizers for?

And thank you for all replies and suggestions, greatly appreciated.

It looks like SBL sells a replacement relay for your truck, no need to splice wires for load equalizers.

The two problems you will have with LED turn signals is hyperflash and a "bulb out" warning. I'm not sure if your truck is old enough to show such a warning. You should check by pulling a brake or parking light bulb and then turning the light on to see if you get a warning in the cluster. A relay will solve your hyperflash, but you will probably want to get CANBUS compatible LEDs if you get a "bulb out" message. They will eliminate the message

    Thank you Nick,

I will look into it, appreciate your time with this. I just saw your post right after copying my post over to Caleb, HR lighting guy, but with the link, and thank you for that, I am going to take a few minutes out of the late night news and my bedtime and look into it. I remember my '98 Taco 4x4 having warnings about lights out, but not sure if the Tundra has them, as this is the first time for a blow out...?

Thank you again, have a great evening and holiday - stay safe this season.

Good evening Nick, just thought I would drop you a brief note regarding the LED flasher- it works great, thank you very much for the website. It took a few minutes to wiggle the old one out, but considering it has been in there for 14 years, no big deal. Hope the holidays treated you (and everyone else here) well and looking forward to adding fog lights to the truck in the next few weeks.

Thanks again for your information and advice.
    Mary
