Supercharged taco usually means it gets abused more.

If you abuse the a340 with the v8, you will break it.

Well hard accelerations with wheel spin and letting it shift into 2nd is a good way to blow up the 2nd gear sprag or sungear. That’s the most common failure I’ve heard of.

I floor it from a dig quite a bit with my supercharged tundra @290k+ miles Although I do feel like when I hit 2nd gear the power drops for like a second which I'm going to have my transmission mechanic friend take a look at. Seems like it falls out of the powerband BUT other than that still going strong.

Went to a Withlacoochee National Forest this morning. First time going off-road with the Tundra. Had a lot of fun and it did everything with ease. Did quite a few climbs through sugar sand and some clay areas but only got a few still pics and two videos going through some mud. It was a beautiful 40 degrees at 6am and by the time I left at 9:30am it was 62.

Finished painting the passenger side door trim. Then I used the remaining can of bed liner to paint the grill. It wasn't holding up well to rocks. I bet this will do better. My wife said it "looks a lot better".

91AD2DC1-0409-4764-83EA-4A72338B4D13.jpg Replaced the serp belt tensioner assembly and idler # 2 pulley today. It was more of a task than I thought it would be. You have to swing the PS out of the way, completely remove the Alt, and remove the passenger and center timing cover(plastic) just to get the tensioner off. It has some wobble in the tensioner bearing, glad I did it. I will probably source a new bearing for the idler pulley and keep it as a spare, it was still good-n-tite. Oh and then last night my thumb nail got peeled back in a door, so that made everything really fun today!

I’d like to take a moment to say, tundra seats, 100x more comfortable that 737 seats. That is all

Self-installed a Compustar 4900-s remote starter just in time for the second cold snap in Michigan. 2-way function is really nice, I can start it from my office and know that it’s warming up in the parking lot.
    upload_2019-12-7_17-31-10.jpg

Replaced the driver side window motor too, all kinds of problems with the old one not wanting to come back up once all the way down. New one works like a charm.

I pulled the charcoal air filter out of my airbox as @Hooptytrix mentioned in another thread.

It may be the placebo effect but my engine seems to run smoother and with less "effort". I'll pay attention in the course of driving this week. Dunno about any HP gains without putting it on a dyno. My ass tells me I gained precisely 1.473HP though...

Already done haha. Installed a Sony xav-ax100 and backup cam last year! Honestly, some of the features make it on par with my cousin’s 2019 Dodge Ram...now if only I could get auto climate controls

Technically you could put the sequoia setup in with a lot of wiring.

I’ve done some preliminary research...it seems like quite the headache. Probably would’ve been one of my first mods if it was plug and play

Yea you’d need a whole donor truck and convert your ac to a double cab type setup. Your truck uses an Imgetration relay for interior stuff, the double cabs use a main body ECU

Let's be honest here... At some point I'm just playing around with this whole idea, but also I'll probably really end up doing it.
    IMG_20191207_190652.jpg
I also realized something while listening to the top of the hour bbc news on the classical station. They reported that scientists had found more than double the amount of low oxygen areas in the ocean than they found in 1960 something. They said this was obviously from climate change. So, I realized that climate change is to blame for me finding more issues with my truck the the more I look at it.
Keep looking at your truck and keep blaming someone else!

Yesterday was non-stop from 10am-6pm pulling, prepping, and spraying. Also, got the LED strips pig tailed in with the connectors. Tested strips on the battery again and all is working. Adjusted the transmission fluid up about 7/8 quart to its ‘correct’ level. Reinstalled the lost banjo washer on my booster hose.

Today is fit n’ finish day. Fun stuff!

Can’t wait to see the final product.

Posted this in the wrong spot yesterday.

Here is a temporary washer I fabbed up from some old sckool brass washers sitting around. The soft metal is perfect, but the aluminum and brass will cause corrosion together.

Went to stealer yesterday to pick up a washer I dropped from the backside of my manifold yesterday during my quest for vacuum greatness. The banjo fitting is just like the fuel rails where its easy to loose a washer and this time I did. Ended up at parts dept for a $2 washer and parked next to this 2019 4Runner?

Anyhow, I believe things happen for a reason. While at stealer I scored on 3 ‘free’ 2020 calendars!

Pulling out of parking lot, a guy being trailed by a cop accidentally? had his 6’ fiberglass HD ladder drop off the back of his van in the middle of the street right in front of me. Cop said it yours. It will be used nicely at Dereks Center.

Rust-Oleum bedliner. I just brushed and rolled it on. That way I didn't even have to remove them! I'll remove them eventually but not right this moment. I've done 2 coats and it took most of a quart. I might hit them again in the corners and stuff.
