New sub enclosure idea, thoughts?

Not brand new, just an external port. I was determined to get as much cubic feet as possible. Im hoping the subs will be more audible that way, not being baffled by the rear seat.

Was able to accomplish 2.0 ft^3 net! Tuned to 34hz. Cant wait to hear how she sounds. Im putting in 2 pioneer TS-SW3002S4 off a Skar 1500rms.

gonna try and wire up the whole truck tomorrow. hopefully let it breathe sometime sunday or monday.

 

How does it sound?

 

you running the rp or sk skar? i just just put in a rp1500 nice and strong, but need to do the big three...

Its the RP1500. Got a good deal on black friday. Glad to hear some good things about the amp, never used a skar amp before. Had a sub that was great for the money.

bassicly the same board, heat sink and internals just rebadged and over rated... i wrapped the 0awg with 4ga reducers and twisted them side ways to get a little bit of room between the ground and pos. i used this one to replace the CAB 1600.1 i fried lower end rail mosfets on... been awesome ever since.

 

Looks nicer like that lol. But it should be perfect seeing as how i need 800rms @ 2ohms for the pair of pioneer 12s.


Little update. Spend a HUGE chuck of time sound deadening my truck today so i still havent heard the box yet. Im tempted to run a long speaker wire from my sequoia just to test it out.

heres an update. Yes i scratched my box loading the seat in there. Might touch it up, but I probably wont.

Thanks! Really takes some elbow grease to get it to follow the curves properly but its worth it. Used a whole box on the roof and the back wall.

 

I have 1 10” in the back with an enclosure that takes up all the empty space. Hits really hard and clean. I’m sure yours will sound great.

Crewmax interior on 2008 is much better ....lol......those years the rear seat would recline and pull down

 

The more you scoot the rear seat forward the more I can recline it

this is the only photo of my box that sortof shows the the front of the port. I’ll have to take another pic later. Dont mind the bottom front edge. I got a little carried away flaring the edge lol .

 

Vynil wrapped it I was going to rhino line it but wanted a leather look or vynil and turned real nice mine is 1.75 .....and tuned at 34hz

 

34 is perfect. The vynil looks really good. If people could actually see my box i may have done something nicer.
