Do you have any pictures of exactly where you mounted the sensor? How did you mount it? I'm about to buy a 17 pro grill but dont want to jack up my TSS stuff in my 19

    Thanks

I do not, sorry. I have actually changed to the 19 Pro grille since then. Something was just bugging me about having the older grille in my new truck. Just one of my ticks.

I wish I could just switch but that's what happens when I get a cement color. But then again I wouldn't go any other way.

The Jomax bracket attaches to the brace that sits in front of the radiator

That would be great. You guys that have the 18 and up haven't had any issues correct? How much is the Jomax?

I am a huge fan of this forum. Quick answers and helpful members.

    Thanks

I've had a few minor issues with my 'radar unavailable' warning coming on while driving, but that's it. It doesn't happen too often. The Jomax bracket is $115 from here: https://jomaxcustoms.com/relocation-kits/blackout-jomax-customs-llc-tss-relocation-kit

I also have the Ares bracket and a 3-d printed bracket that I'll be selling if you want those. And probably in a week or two I'll be selling my Jomax bracket as well, since I'll be switching to the 2019 Pro grill.

Picking up a 2019 Limited tomorrow and looking to put TRD grille on also. Does the bracket interfere or touch the radiator? Wondering after looking at a few photos. Anyone have photos they can share from top view, etc. that would shed a little more light on how the bracket mounts? I'm not even sure what it looks like compared to OEM. Thx in advance!

Ive had my jomax bracket behind a 2017 trd pro grill with no issues for a month. Love it. I knew I was taking a risk when doing this since other people have had problems but so far so good. I’m going to keep my original platinum grill for a little while to make sure.

Did anyone get the TSS recalibrated after doing this like Jomax recommends or was if fine by just putting it back on? TIA.

Hows this been working for you so far. Iam looking for something similar for the sensor, I swapped my grill that doesn't come with the sensor behind the emblem. This website reliable?IMG_20200507_113525_677.jpg

I’m hoping someone can help me better understand the concept of the TSS relocation bracket. Does this keep the stock sensor in or close to its original position for use with any grille or does it just move the sensor to a spot that is compatible with the 14-17 PRO grilles? I have a 2020 TRD Sport and I’m looking to use a few of the 14-18 grilles I still have from my 16 Tundra but I’m concerned about possible issues with the sensor being 3.75” lower than it is now in the stock grille.

I believe the main issue is 2014-2017 Pro Grills don't have a mounting provision on the actual grill itself for the TSS. Therefor you need to fab up a way to mount it, hence the AKT jomax, etc. They are merely providing one a way to mount the TSS sensor on the original spot where it would be mounted on your 2018-2020Tundra. I believe anything before 2018(SR5,Limited, Pro,etc) will require one of these brackets or one you fab yourself in order for the TSS system to work.

I am looking at putting the 2017 Pro Grille on my 2020 Limited. Has anybody done this and lifted their truck? Any errors or issues?

I am doing this as we speak, I purchased Silverhacks used Jomax bracket and am having problems already before I lift it. I am going to do the lift, and take it to dealer for 5000 mile service and ask them to recalibrate sensor to see if that helps and will report back.
