Hello PNW members. We just moved to Battle Ground, WA area from SW Missouri. We've traveled the area a little so far and are amazed by the beauty! IMG_9123.jpg

Wecome to WA. Nice looking Winnie Minnie there. We have a Micro Minni TT that we love. That 5er looks pretty slick however.

Thanks, It's a Winnebago Micro Minnie 2405RL. I use the Andersen Ultimate gooseneck adaptor attached to a B&W drop ball gooseneck hitch. I added Firestone airbags, rear sway bar, and E rated BFG KO2s to the Tundra.

I like how it tows. No tail wagging like some travel trailers. The torsion bar suspension smooths out the bumps nicely. I have traveled about 9,000 miles so far and would buy the same combination again. Several times I have been able to maneuver into or around tight spots where a bumper pull trailer combination would not fit. The Tundra's payload capacity limited my choices. The 2405 has a pin weight of 1,060 pounds and 5,500 pounds dry weight. I purchased the optional high ground clearance, and winter insulation package so I can go off road in most climates. You are welcome to look at mine any time.

We considered an Escape brand 5th wheel because of it's light weight but decided against it because of the wet bath and the lack of an area to sit besides the booth. Nice, well built trailers though.

Wow, they still make 2-stroke outboards? Crazy.

Happy Sunday everyone. I’ve got to post a bunch of stuff to CL today from my old truck. Hopefully all remnants of my F-150 will be gone soon.

Funny I just passed a tundra pulling one of these yesterday. Not something I usually see around.

Finished fixing my washing machine. Not a bad way to spend like $500.
Went to a Halloween party for about 2 hours. Then went to work.

Used the dog as an excuse to avoid a “gathering”. Stayed home, relaxed and enjoyed answering the door.

I hope everyone had a good week...mine was one of those “So if we sold the house, bought a 5th wheel and home schooled the kids...” weeks. Such is life! Make it a good weekend everyone.

Whelp, I guess we’re in good company then. TX, ID or MT sound good to me. Just wish my skills could pay the bills there.

Don’t if furniture shopping in Bothell and all over Lynnwood counts as a day trip, but I put the miles on today. Now I’m done...shoes are off and it will be vino time soon...

When my wife, son and I lived in Colorado, back in the late 70's, we found that, for the most part, there wasn't a lot of remote places around that someone wouldn't show up, we've driven to Deep Lake which is north of the freeway just past Eagle, that is over 30 miles in on a dirt road and it's crazy how many people would show up there. That being said, I had a few places that I would hike to that not one other person would show up, but that was a nasty hike, park at 12,900 ft. elevation and hike down 960 ft. at a 45 degree angle to the lake, the first time I did that when I went to climb back to the vehicle, I stopped to huff and puff 50' up the trail and asked myself what the hell I'd gotten myself into, but after a few more times going there I got used to the altitude and it became addictive to be at those elevations. That was on the road to Mount Evans which has the highest auto road in the lower USA, it goes to just over 14,000 ft. Where we live here in S. W. Oregon, there are places out in the woods where no one shows up and so your vehicle better be in the best condition and be carrying food, water and blankets, people have died on some of the roads because they ran into snow when their GPS said they could get to the ocean by taking a back road, we've seen snow on one of those roads as late as July. I will admit Montana probably has one of the lowest populations for as large as the state is but I just didn't like the extreme cold that can come about quickly and we had spent enough cold weather time when we lived in Conifer, Colorado at 8,100 ft. elevation. Anyway, our idea of getting away might be something like going to Belize, just south of Cancun, very low cost of living and not a lot of people around, but then there really isn't anywhere in the world, that may look good to live in now, that isn't going to have a large influx of people I n the near future. We've thought this moving away thing over a great deal and have come to the conclusion to stay right where we are, we have great neighbors and that's a real plus. My only other idea for getting away is to sell our place and buy a big sailboat and live in a little harbor in Costa Rica, wife says she isn't going sailing and I'm getting too old to start a new path in life, so here we stay.

I grew up in Estes Park Colorado which has cold winters and is pretty high up there. It is however on the windy side which makes those cold temps feel sub zero. So cold isn’t an issue for me in fact I love it. Montana just has more bang for your buck with houses and property. My wife is all for moving there although being naturally cold blooded means I will spend a small fortune on coats and other things to keep her warm

I was offered a job working with family in Ohio. Wanted to get out if Oregon. My wife did not want to leave and the kids just started high school.

The job should have been less stress and the cost of living would have been cheaper. Who’s to say if it would have worked out.
Oregon is just getting packed and it’s expensive.

There are a quite a few things that I still love about this area, but the list of things I dislike continues to grow unfortunately. Sort them anyway you want; I think you hit the nail on the head. They all be rolled up under “too crowded and expensive”. When I get into the mountains or parts of our region that are less populated, just stepping outside into the quiet lifts a huge weight off my shoulder. Call it urban induced claustrophobia.

Hope everyone had a great Sunday. Since yesterday was pretty busy, we decided to not leave the house. Got lots of random chores done and watched TV all day. Got a bunch of errands to run after work tomorrow, but we’ll be home in time for the game. Go Hawks!

So I may or may not have been drinking last night(Happy Birthday Marines) and told the wife on the way home if it was nice I would wash her 4Runner today.

Well..... She took me up on that this morning and asked if she was taking my truck to work so I could wash her ride. I checked the weather and said OK I guess so.

6 Hours later this was the result.

Hope everyone enjoyed this nice weather for Veterans Day today.

I told her it better not look that bad inside again . To be fair my daughter just finished outdoor soccer so that should help cutdown on the grass/dirt in the back...and snacks too I guess.

So who’s ready for some snow? I always get itchy for snow this time of year, but having a new truck just makes it worse. I might have to abandon my drive home on I-405 one evening and head up I-90 for dinner at the pass. Guess I need to start watching the pass reports.

Oh I can't wait for snow. Work will turn into a giant shit show. Portland will have been shut down for days prior to the first snow flake and I will have to flip a coin to see if I want to go into work and watch said show...or stay home and play with the kids.

Happy Friday everyone. What are folks doing for the weekend? We bailed from plans to go up to Birch Bay because of the weather. Going to make it another chores weekend to get ready for the holidays. Lame, but necessary.

Got my plates in the mail today and will install them tomorrow. Guess I’m officially out of the new truck phase.
