The super stock tube interests me as well. On my old silverado there was a company that figured out 90% of the intake gains were from the tube. So they just sold that piece for far less than entire kits. Gains were real on the 5.3. But who knows. Everyone keeps saying the S&b is the shit. Makes me want to try it.

How is the noise with S&b? The air aid full system is annoying loud

    Stock for now...
I would say the S&B systems are louder than stock but more subtle than the K&N or Air Raid type. More of a whoosh noise than a giant sucking sound. :hattip:

Good to know. Had an issue that set me back some bills so I’m holding out. Let me know how S&B treats you.

    Yes to the Sequía gasket.
The air outlet on the TRD lid is a larger diameter than the stock one also.

My volant I had installed but removed had a very throaty deep sound other than that I felt like it lost low end torque

The whistle that you describe is actually from a gasket that is near the throttle body. It is a widely known whistle when these are installed. I am attaching a quote from a different member.

Thanks but if you see as per my last post, it had already been swapped with a Sequía gasket which doesn’t have the wire mesh. So I know it’s not that. I learned about that when I had just a drop in filter only. Thanks though.

I had trd intake with the sabm intake than i had s&b intake. Both gives good gains in mpg but with s&b i can feel more mid range torque and its alittle louder which i like but not to loud though like open intakes. I had the s&b with bullydog for over 10,000 miles no issues. I highly reccommend it If your combining others mods.
