Tailgate latch problems

    So how many people have broke there tailgate latch in cold weather went to open my tailgate and the arm that pushes down broke off! Luckily they are not very expensive.

    Toytec level and diff drop, Cooper STT Pro Tires, TRD Pro Grill, blacked out, debadged.
    I went out the other morning and my tonneau cover was frozen down, out of fear that I would rip the seal or break the handle I gave up pretty quick.

    Are you talking about the lowering shock? Was it the end piece that clips on?
    Bummer on the breakage. It gets pretty friggen cold in WY though.

    The easy way to get off Love bugs is to spray Simple Green on your forward facing surfaces let it set 10 minutes the spray them off. Simple Green eats them little bastards right up...

    It's the handle itself on the inside not sure what exactly broke but the handle just flops around now.

    Yea 28 here and it was 24 the morning it broke go figure it was 80 and tornadoes the day before
