If that’s where you want to mount it that would be fine too, I love that Diamondback, you could definitely do it for sure, the tank isn’t too big either, it’s a hot dog style tank. I can’t wait to get me a diamondback one day

Come to think of it you might have to get stronger struts to lift up that extra weight, diamondback sells those as well, they make a headache rack for it and they make a stronger strut kit to lift the extra weight of that rack

Cool I didn't know they did that, once all installed that might be a good option if needed.

I mounted my compressor to the inside of the frame rails on the driver side and the tank between the bed and the body on the passenger side. Might not be possible for non long beds though!20190815_095954.jpg 20190815_095858.jpg 20190815_095814.jpg

Just a suggestion, on that quick connector fitting, you probably should get a male end and put a pipe cap on it, that way it won’t get mud up in there if you get on a muddy road or something, just unconnected it and plug your air hose in when you need it, very nice install too. I also bought a 1/4” x 50’ airline made by Rigid from Home Depot, it’s a light hose and is awesome too

I've been meaning to get a rubber cap that covers the whole fitting but I've just been lazy. I'm using a harbor freight hose that I keep rolled up behind my rear seat thanks to the rear seat mod found here on the forum ;)

I also have a quick connect in my fender well. I went to home Depot and got a rubber cap that goes into chair feet. Works perfectly

I am piecing together a system. Would it be better to do 3/8" tubing instead 1/4" tubing to fill tires faster? Does it matter in the end if the tank fitting is only 1/4" anyways?

If your lines are always pressurized then the extra tubing is good for extra air. Otherwise it's just more volume from the tank
