My bad! Last minute thing, wanted to test out the rebuilt motor.

Haha I didn’t do anything! I did tow him back to the road though.

Haha were all back home safe now, thanks Sunny!

Not sure yet. He had a bad valve, has his head machined, got it all back together, and she ran.
Engine shake down test run was all good until it wasn’t haha. Just went to Pine Valley, Dan out to the heli pad, messed around on the hill there, and then made it about half way back to the road when she just quit.
Colton’s best guess is bad ignition coil.

Here it is guys lmk what I shoulda done different or pointers. Maybe more gas right away? It was kinda sketchy cuz he had no recovery points so hitch ball on rear bumper it was. Strap went from bottom of the bumper to ball so if that woulda broke it woulda flew at his truck not mine. Sorry for sideways video. My bro in law doesn’t know what he’s doing. Lock your screen and rotate phone lol

Then you used it right! Nice recovery
But next time don't have a buddy holding the rope, if something had happened he'd have been in harms way.

Two things you did wrong. The biggest mistake was changing from landscape to portrait during recording. Never ever do that. That makes us have to either lock our phones to watch it or tilt our heads. Always think about your audience first. Always try to record on landscape mode. Or portrait if you have to but never switch during recording. Before you press on the gas, it is your responsibility to make sure the camera guy has his phone oriented correctly. Did you yell at your bro in law for doing that? Yelling at him is a must, otherwise he’ll just do it again next time. If you didn’t yell at him at the time, call him right now and yell at him. And cuss at him a little through text too after the call. That’ll reinforce it into his head. It’s very important he never does that again. The next video might be some once in a lifetime video and we all know videos where we have to tilt our heads to watch have no chance to go viral. Like what would’ve happened if during the recovery, a giant squid came out of the ocean and grabbed a dog walking on the beach and dragged him into the ocean?? Nope... can’t go viral cuz we have to tilt our heads.

Second mistake, don’t let anyone hold the rope, especially if you’re strapped onto a hitch ball. That’s how people get killed.

    Other than that.

I kicked him in the balls and attached the strap to his leg and dragged him in the sand for a bit. Should learn his lesson no? The one holding the strap is another bro in law( as we see they ain’t so smart) lol but total of them is 8 so one less wouldn’t hurt haha. On a more serious note. What tire deflator do you guys use? I purchased a cheaply from Amazon but the gauge wouldn’t work on it so I was lucky my head unit shows me tire psi.

That's what I'm talking about!!! Ball kick with sand dragging!!! Way better than just yelling at him. Sorry I doubted you Tony. I use an ARB tire deflator.

He could've just used the hitch pin and it would've been safe.
