650 or 700 lb Springs

Hey guys and gals,

Planning on doing the suspension upgrades in the near future, but curious as to what spring rate I ought to get on the Boss coilovers. Once the suspension is done I'm thinking I'll add either a Ranch Hand grille guard or a bumper of some sort. With that said, would it be smart to just get 700 lb springs right off the bat or could I get away with 650 lbers? The Ranch Hand weights around 120 lbs if I remember correctly, and the Fab Four bumper I've thought about weights 185.

I have 700# spring with no off-road bumpers nothing it feels fine. I'd stick with a 700 if it was me putting more weight on.

 

I'd do 700 especially if you get the ranch hand.

 

I've got 700's, wish I had 650's on my Kings but they dont have them in the size for the coilovers. Even with my bumper at 140lbs on the front, the 700s are too firm IMO
