Looks like it's definitely gotten pretty hot. As a mechanic I'm a little concerned about the color of that at 125k. Someone was likely hauling more than the truck was designed for or driving it really hard. The flush was probably a good idea but I'm concerned about the condition of the internals of your transmission. The discs in a transmission don't like excessive heat. Another thing that can cause excessive heat is a transmission slipping or a torque converter having too high of tolerances and that leakage internally results in a lot of heat. Do you notice any weird shifts or does it sometimes stutter between gears while accelerating? If you start noticing slow shifts or it feels like you're revving it up and it's not accelerating it's definitely in your wallets best interest to have it rebuilt sooner rather than when it fails.

So bought these on Ebay and installed today.
The negative....had to use a drill bit to get led tube to fit into assembly. Not very much but just enough.

These do not have cooling resistor on back so I still test them for a week

Did a little rewiring under the dashboard. Now have anytime fogs, controlled by the factory switch on the turn signal stalk.

I got the truck from a guy in the army that only sold cause he was being stationed in Hawaii and was already paying to ship his wife’s new 4Runner. He gave me an entire briefcase of receipts for every single oil change, rotation, alignment, etc that had ever been done to the truck. He was what I would call an upstanding person. He told me he never once towed with it and based on the looks of the receiver and his character I believe him. In my brief time with him and his wife I can also tell he was not hard on the truck. He told me the transmission had never been serviced so I had a d&f done. It shifted smooth as buttercream icing on a $500 wedding cake before the full and the same after.

yeah i could not wait to get rid of the jbl bull crap. i had broke one of the tweeter terminals when i popped out the sail. i had the maestro rr and to1 harness from good ole JRT @james@tech12volts. biggest thing was unloading everything off the t01 harness there is a lot of stuff that the truck and the unit doesn't do so i had to cut the majority of it out. got more to come i will post some teaser pics.....

could I ask how much it was to do the D&F? my trans is starting to stutter and shift pretty slow between 2nd and 3rd. I've never overheated the trans but I can definitely tell I've put a lot of stress on it since I bought it in November with 128k on it, now at 145k.

I found that the onboard compressor allowed me to adjust on the fly. When you're using a weight distribution hitch changing the rear ride height will alter how much traction you have with your front tires. Increasing rear height decreases steering authority and makes the truck under-steer. Decreasing rear height increases front tire traction and prevents under-steer.

You don't want to blind everyone with your low beams angled like high beams, but you also need it all to go the direction you tell it to. The integrated onboard compressors like the Air-ride Wireless One really let you dial it in without stopping to change pressures. Super convenient.

Sure it was $129 for a drain and fill. I plan on doing another in 2 oil changes and see what the fluid looks like at that point. My transmission was not having any issues though and still isn’t.

Awesome. What subs did you decide to go with? And amp?

I have a 2013 crew max no jbl and backup in rear view mirror, so my install was very simple. But got CarPlay and pushing 75w to each speaker and about 750rms to a type r 10 behind the seat.
