Hello , tundra from Spring Tx!!!
What do you guys think about this noise in the engine area ..
Sounds like it’s a knocking sound . You can hear it during idle and acceleration.

I would stop driving it. And check the timing chain tensioner. I’ve heard of a few of those going bad.

That is a strange noise. Maybe even a bearing on one of the pulleys going bad?

Pull the serpentine belt and restart (when cold) for 10 seconds. If the noise is still there, I would say timing belt tensioner as well. How many miles?

    Repair Update :
Got a second opinion and it was as belt tensioners and exterior engine components ..
Thank god for second opinion .
The 2nd mechanic did pull belt off and verified no noise without belt ..
And not internal engine problem ..

Thankfully you are patient. There are lots of scammers out there and incompetent people.
