I've pretty much narrowed myself down to these two bumpers both able to have a winch both have high clearance weight is different for sure im assuming living in the south east and doing alot of driving at night in deer populated areas has me leaning to arb but just can't make my mind up yet hopefully c4 releases this month as they plan to to see more details c4 price is definitely nicer lol anyone running the arb hereFB_IMG_1562865419946.jpg Screenshot_20190306-162545_Chrome.jpg

No ARB. It's soft. You tag something and the bumper will get bent into your bodywork.

Really? Wow that's kinda disappointing to hear I always thought they were suppose to be bomb proof

It's really a use-case-scenario kinda thing. They are aluminum. They are good for certain things, bad for others.

    See build link
For what ARB charges for their bumpers you’d think they’re made of bulletproof stainless steel.

Yea they are high as all get out. I just really like that style maybe im too old school in my likes but I like a bumper that comes all the way up but not many at all like that for these 14 and up

I have an ARB Safari on my 4th Gen 4Runner and a CBI Offroad on my 3rd gen 4Runner and the difference is night and day. The ARB is thin and moves around a lot. The CBI is built like a tank, I'm pretty sure in a head on collision the only thing that would be left on my 3rd gen would be the bumper.

Have you ever owned one? ARB bumpers are not made from aluminum. They are made from steel.

The ARB bumpers are typically built with lower gauge material compared to others on the market. If you plan on bashing it into rocks then I would go for something more heavy duty. They are fine for the average person.

Oh ok. I saw one in Australia years ago and could have sworn the dude said it was aluminum. Regardless, they aren't the strongest things out there.

If deer is your concern something like the ARB design would be best. You get more coverage, have you looked at Ranch hand. Just an idea. That C4 sure does look nice though.

I ended up with a ARB seems beefy to me and sturdy and winching with it has been solid. Deer was mt biggest concern with driving and how much I travel

Does anyone here know if the front grille is still removable with the ARB Summit installed? Tolerances look tight and I have some lightbars behind my grille so just wondering if its all still accessible?

Also, wondering the same thing for headlight changes, low beam bulb replacements, etc?

You'll have to remove the ARB bumper to remove the grill or headlights. The bumper is tucked in close
