    Howdy folks! I have been lurking for a while now trying to research for the purchase of a Tundra. After much discussion with the wife we decided that we really could use a truck.

    Just a bit of background, I'm a die hard Toyota guy. My first vehicle was a 1977 FJ40 Land Cruiser. Due to the Land Cruiser being less than reliable and me being 18 years old and needing to get to work, that went away within about a year (yes I miss is, yes I never should have sold it). Since that time I have owned two Saturn SC2 coupes (cheap and very reliable throw awaw vehicles), 2 4Runners ( a 1990 two door, and a 1997 Limited), a 2007 FJ Cruiser, and the wife and I currently own a 2007 Rav4 ( 260+K miles and an awesome vehicle!) a 2 JDM imported Land Cruisers.

    About the Land Cruisers (because I know there will be questions), the wifes is a 1988 BJ71 with the factory 4 cylinder turbo diesel (13B-T), and mine is a 1989 HJ61 with the factory 6 cylinder turbo diesel (12H-T) and the factor lockers built for expedition travel. Hers is the toy. It's a blast to drive and bone stock besides an upgraded suspension. Mine is a bit built up and is awesome for long road trips to far away lands! If you want more info I'll post it up.

    So with that said, on to the Tundra!! Over the 4th of July weekend the wife and I went and bought our first Tundra! I have been on the look out for about 4 weeks for a rig after an epiphany that a truck would suit our needs and be a great DD for myself. Quickly after looking through the local classifieds one truck was sticking out. I watched the ads for a while and kept coming back to this one certain truck. It was a 2014 SR5 double cab with the TRD package with 53,000 miles and the cleanest used vehicle I have ever seen. The listing stated that the truck was "detailed every 4 weeks and taken off road exactly 6 times to go to a hunting cabin". It looked super clean.

    After looking at the truck, taking a test drive, and talking with the owner I knew this was the right vehicle. So, we bought it! A 2014 double cab SR5 with the TRD package and I couldn't be happier. Looks like you have a great community here and I am looking forward to being part of it!
