I Purchased neoprene coverking seat covers. Coverking provides a video that goes too fast, but by scrubbing the video back a few times I can figure most of it out. One of the last steps is to “connect the hooks” that are dangling from the rear seat back, but they don’t tell you what to connect them to.

There are apparently no printed instructions so I’m like

Stretch them under the seat and hook to the metal cross bars that run beneath the seat. Make sure you aren't going around the slider mechanism that adjusts seat / forward and back. Also be careful to avoid the wires.

I have the Coverking neoprene covers (really like them), and iirc you're supposed the hook the ends of the back and front straps together under the cushion. As I remember, I think they had proprietary plastic ends (not the usual "S" links) that were adjustable on the straps (adjust for good cover fit), and designed specifically to hook together. As mentioned before, be careful to avoid any junk under the seat.

Edit: @atebit Sorry, you said seat backs. Checked mine. I hooked the rear seat back cover strap to the second seat spring into the bottom cushion. That's about where the strap length ends. Those straps do have small "S" links.

I left mine dangling on my carhartt seat covers bc there is no good way to hook them in.

I had same problem when I installed my new covers on my DC just left the straps hang in the back seat. I do like them though fronts were easy to put on but that back top panel was tough.C3720A02-021B-4AF9-8847-DB1594F4EA05.jpg
