Great I just ordered that model. Saw your post on it a few years back. Thought I would give it a go.

I always wash the wheel wells and undercarriage but never applied anything in the wheel wells. Does it make dirt collect?

i can appreciate this thread. mine normally ges through the touchless wash every offroad trip. with less than 10k total miles it needs paint correction pretty badly from offroad excursions. the pinstripes add character right?

I did it yesterday and I I used CarPro Cquartz UK 2.0_50 Milliliter Kit w/ Reload

    Cost about 65.00 I think.

I washed it with snow foam, clay barred it, used chemical guys vss scract and swirl remover for a sort of paint correction (Dont buy it, it took two times on the whole truck to complete.)
used denatured alcohol to clean it and then said screw it and applied the coat.

It is sitting inside right now curing so will see what it looks like after work today.

That’s what I have on mine, but I didn’t do it myself. The guy who did it didn’t do a very good job unfortunately.

I dont think I did a good job either but I guess I will know later on today.
I doubt it is going to give me the liquid look I am expecting but it was my first time doing anything like this so I will take what i can get.

Doing the color correction was worth it but it took hours to do it.

The one nice thing about the VSS is that it went clear when it was time to stop working with it.
Gave plenty of time to work but the results were just ok. I went over it again and this was on a new truck.

You might look into Carpro Gliss. It’s a topper for CQuartz that’s supposed to make it look even better. I’ll be using it when I get around to re-doing my ceramic.
